Sophia Bush Breaks Up With Boyfriend and Moves on With Chicago PD Co-Star?

It seems like Sophia Bush has not learned her lesson about dating co-stars.

It was recently reported that Sophia has called it quits with  boyfriend, Google engineer, Dan Fredinburg due to hectic schedules.

She’s moving on quickly as the rumor mill is swirling that  Bush and her Chicago PD co-star Jesse Lee Soffer are dating. Bush plays Detective Erin Lindsay on the Chicago cop drama, while Soffer plays Jay Halstead her partner. She’s in luck though– while Voight has set rules that doesn’t allow co-workers to date on the show, she’s free to date co-stars in real life.

The two haven’t made their relationship public, but have shared a lot of pictures on Instagram together. A source close to the duo revealed that they have been hanging out for about three months, so it’s still a fairly new relationship.

Bush began dating Fredinburg in April 2013, but called it quits in February.  “When you see one another for 24 hours every four weeks, it’s impossible to maintain a romantic relationship. They weren’t able to spend the time together that was necessary to nurture that kind of relationship,” a source told People magazine.

A source added that Bush and Fredinburg and Bush remained good friends after the split. “They both care about one another and it was completely amicable.” In April, Bush confirmed that her ex was okay after a Mt. Everest Avalanche accident.

A source close to the star revealed that Bush was really smitten with Fredinburg when they first started dating adding, “she’s mentioned wanting to marry him and I won’t be surprised if she gets engaged.”

She shared her love for the Google programmer after the DoSomething Awards– one of the few times she was open about her private life.

“I usually shy away from personal stuff, but I’m feeling real emotional tonight…Hosting the @DoSomething Awards was a milestone for me,” she wrote on Instagram July 31, 2013. “And I wouldn’t have been the same without this man by my side. Thank you, Dan, for loving my passion and my fight. Thank you for being the spark to my match.”

It seems like a no brainer that she would date her co-star– a person she gets to see 24/7. It really helps with the “hectic schedules/never seeing each other problem.” Plus, you develop this connection and bond.

“Sophia met her new beau Jesse on set of Chicago P.D,” an insider told E! “They’ve been secretly dating for over three months, but only their close friends knew. Jesse is super-sweet and they are really cute together.”

“[She’s] so awesome, we’re buds! It’s like a dream come true being able to work with friends,” Soffer told Hollywood Life about working with Bush.

But is it possible to spend too much time with someone? They do say distance makes the heart grow fonder… and this isn’t the first time Bush dated one of her co-stars. From past experiences, it usually ends bad.

During her time on One Tree Hill she married co-star Chad Michael Murray in April 2005. They divorced in 2006 and she dated James Lafferty in 2008 and 2009. She also dated Austin Nichols on-and-off for about four years. It’s safe to say, Bush has a thing for people she works with!

Chicago PD Homecoming

Goodbye, Alvin Olinsky.

The Intelligence team, along with viewers, said goodbye to Olinksy on Chicago PD Season 5 Episode 22. Sadly, he did not make it out alive after being stabbed repeatedly during his short stint in prison.

Ugh, there are no words to describe the heaviness I felt when the doctor nonchalantly told Voight that his best friend, his partner in crime, didn’t make it.

Chicago PD Allegiance

Well, this isn’t good.

As expected, Olinksy ended up paying the ultimate price for Kevin Bingham’s death on Chicago PD Season 5 Episode 21.

And by ultimate I mean there’s a good chance he’s dead. Did Elias Koteas want to be written off the show so badly they couldn’t even leave the door open for an occasional guest appearance?
