2014 Teen Choice Award Nominees First Wave
The nominees for The Teen Choice Awards 2014 are in! In the first wave of nominations, Pretty Little Liars and The Vampire Diaries take the lead scoring five nominations each, in just three categories!
Pretty Little Liars will compete against ABC Family shows The Fosters, Twisted, Switched at Birth and the CW’s Hart of Dixie.
TVD obviously rules the SciFi category against ABC’s fairytale drama Once Upon A Time, FOX’s Sleepy Hollow, CW’s Arrow and MTV’s Teen Wolf. So in other words, this is a really difficult category.
For SciFi TV Choice actor, Ian Somerhalder and Paul Wesley will be competing against each other, as well as against Joseph Morgan from The Originals. As for SciFi TV Choice actress, Nina Dobrev and Kat Graham go head-to-head against each other and The Originals Claire Holt.
Glee is nominated in the comedy category against The Big Bang Theory and Disney Channel’s Austin and Ally. Yeah, this is a really weird group of shows, but it’s obvious that young-skewing shows are taking the Teen Choice Awards by storm. As they should, I mean it’s called Teen Choice for a reason right?
As for movies, Veronica Mars the movie is nominated for three awards. Meanwhile, Jennifer Lawrence and Shailene Woodley prove that they really do rule Hollywood. Lawrence is nominated for X-Men: Days of Future Past, The Hunger Games: Catching Fire and American Hustle. Woodley is nominated for The Fault in Our Stars and Divergent.
Another interesting movie category is for Movie Actor, which finds both Hemsworth brothers competing against each other. Liam Hemsworth for The Hunger Games, Chris Hemsworth for Thor: The Dark World. And if that isn’t awkward enough, Liam is also up against Josh Hutcherson of The Hunger Games. Yep, this will be fun to watch for sure. No hard feelings though, right?
Ian Somerhalder is nominated for male hottie (and should win). He’s competing agaisnt Austin Mahone (mmm mm no no), Zac Efron, Ryan Gosling and One Direction (cause their all obviously one person..). Surprisingly, there is no Justin Bieber in this category, nor in any of the music categories.
The Best Female Hottie nominees include Rihanna, Beyonce, Ariana Grande, Selena Gomez, Kendall Jenner and Bella Thorne. (Yes, you noticed correctly there is no Miley Cyrus here either). Doesn’t it feel like justice has been served?
The ceremony doesn’t air till August 10, which means there is still plenty of waves to be announced but take a little peek at this first one and see what you think. We’ve bolded our choices!

When Does ‘Manifest’ Season 4 Part 2 Release on Netflix?

Are you ready for Flight 828 to make its final descent?
On April 7, Netflix revealed the release date for the second half of the plane drama, along with a new teaser trailer to hold fans over.
Manifest Season 4 Part 2—all 10 episodes—will land on the streamer on Friday, June 2, 2023. For those that are keeping score, it’s a year ahead of the June 2, 2024 Death Date (so does this mean they find a way to beat it?!).
Netflix typically releases new episodes at 12:00 a.m. Pacific Time, which means it will drop at 3:00 am Eastern and 2:00 am CT.
And according to the teaser trailer, things are just as ominous as we expected when we saw the final shot of Season 4 Part 1 of Angelina bringing forth destruction via volcanic fissures.
“The world is ending and we know when,” Josh Dallas’ Ben Stone remarks in the trailer as everyone emphasizes June 2 numerous times.
Here’s the full synopsis for the forthcoming final set of episodes.
“A mysterious accident delivers ominous warnings on a biblical scale that will further jeopardize the livelihood of all the passengers,” the synopsis reads. “As Michaela [Melissa Roxburgh] grieves the loss of her beloved husband Zeke [Matt Long], she must team up with her old flame Jared [J.R. Ramirez] to find new methods to investigate Callings.”
The end may be near, but there’s still plenty of story left to tell—and we hope that they do right by the ending, giving a satisfactory conclusion to longtime fans who have rallied behind the series from day 1 when it was still on NBC.

Per TVLine, the season will consist of another 10 episodes!
For those who need a bit of a refresher, there’s plenty of drama that we’re going to dive right into. At the end of season 2, it was revealed that Bill is Isaac’s father (a bombshell revelation if I’m being honest), Noreen gave birth to her daughter and decided to stay in Serenity, Dana Sue decided to give Ronnie another shot, Helen suffered a miscarriage before cozying up to Erik and getting proposed to by true love Ryan, and finally, a bump in the road for Maddie and Cal’s relationship following his angry outburst.
