Coronavirus sucks. There, I said it. Plain and simple, the pandemic has forced states into lockdown, school, restaurant, and bar closures, travel to come to a standstill, and self-distancing and self-quarantine to become a priority.

Tom Hanks was the first Hollywood actor to test positive for the virus alongside his wife, Rita Wilson, and since then, the cases have only been going up.

We’re sending good vibes and strength to everyone affected by the virus.

Here are all the famous coronavirus patients.

Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson

The couple stunned the world when they revealed that they contracted the virus while working on the untitled Elvis Presley film from Baz Luhrmann. Updates have revealed that they are doing better though they aren’t out of the woods yet. As of Monday, they are reportedly no longer hospitalized and are self-quarantining.

Idris Elba

Idris Elba, who was once rumored to be the next James Bond, revealed he tested positive for coronavirus after coming in contact with someone that was infected.

He revealed on Twitter on Tuesday that he’s feeling “ok” with just a slight runny nose but no fever, but his asthma places him in the high-risk category.

Daniel Dae Kim

The “Lost” and “Hawaii 5-0” actor has tested positive. He said he believes he contracted it in New York while filming “New Amsterdam.” He said he first got a scratchy throat while flying back to Hawaii after the show was postponed. Other symptoms included chest tightness, body aches and a fever. He immediately put himself in self-quarantine.

Indira Varma

The British actress who starred as Ellaria Sand on the beloved Game of Thrones said she tested positive. The production of the play she was in The Seagull with GOT co-star Emilia Clarke has been paused indefinitely. She said the virus was “not nice.”

Kristofer Hivju

Another Game of Thrones actor who played Tormund Giantsbane on the series revealed he tested positive on Instagram. He said he was self-isolating and had “mild symptoms of a cold.”

Rachel Matthews

The actress who voiced Honeymaren in Frozen 2 has been in quarantine for over a week after testing positive. She said she was feeling better but admitted it was exceptionally hard to get a test.

Andy Cohen

The “Watch What Happens Live” host revealed he’s focusing on his recovery after being diagnosed.

“After a few days of self-quarantine, and not feeling great, I have tested positive for Coronavirus,” he said in a selfie posted to Instagram.

Colton Underwood

The “Bachelor” star tested positive and made the revelation on Instagram.

“I want to let you guys know: I’m 28, I consider myself pretty healthy, I work out regularly, I eat healthy, and I became symptomatic a few days ago, got my test results back today, and they are positive,” he revealed. He also said he’s feeling “exhausted” from the virus.

“It’s been kicking my (expletive), just to put it pretty bluntly. The main thing is I can’t even walk up a flight of stairs without being out of breath or go to the bathroom without having to sit down because I’m exhausted,” he admitted.

Debi Mazar

The Younger actress tested positive on March 21 and said she had a fever of 101-102 degrees, severe headache, dry cough and “insanely strong” body aches. Since then, she has offered up an update that she is nearly symptom-free aside from the loss of taste and smell. She said she is “feeling much better.”

I have just tested positive for Covid-19.I AM OK! About a month ago my entire home(husband and two teen daughters) got an odd bug- Low grade fever, headaches, sore throat, body aches, ears ringing and a dry cough. It cleared up quickly.Seasonal I thought?but it felt unusual/different… Two weeks later,March 15th,I woke up with all those same symptoms but super intense body aches, and 102.4 fever.I figured maybe I got the flu or..Corona?😬 I had had cocktails the evening prior, and smoked a few cigarettes. I figured I had jacked my immune system from having a fun night with friends.I called a doctor/friend to ask if I could get the Covid-19 test on 3/16.He said NO,I didn’t meet the criteria.I hadn’t recently traveled out of the country&I hadnt been with someone who had actually tested positive.I found this kind of a CRAZY criteria for a NY’er as I had taken the subway, gone to the theater, the grocery store, the pharmacy, hair salon, etc.I was the Mom who was trying to prepare the home and get supplies&bleach wipes, dry goods.extra food etc. Because we have Italian family in Italy and we follow the news closely,my biggest panic was why were they not closing schools in NYC &forbidding movement outside the home without permission, like China and all of Europe? Prospect Park yesterday,i hear was jumpin’! A friend told me that CityMD/Urgent Care in my neighborhood had test kits, which appealed to me as I wanted to stay away from the hospital. I went on 3/17.First I was tested for the flu-which was negative. Then they tested me for Covid-19. I was sent home and told to quarantine myself until I had results, which would take 3-7 days(in S.Korea it takes two hours) Well..today is day 5 and I just found out.Im hoping I’ve been through the worst of it already. Its very “morphy”.One day I feel crappy and the next I’m normal.Today my lungs are heavy, but I’m tough. I can breath, and I’m going to heal here,in my own home!My family is under quarantine for 14 days. They have no symptoms.I think we all had it possibly already?Who knows. Anyhow, stay home people!Protect yourselves&your loved ones.Build up your immune systems.Good Luck&God Bless us all! #alonetogether #physicaldistancing #stayhome

Spring 2020 TV Shows and Premiere Dates

Believe it or not, today is the first day of spring.

Personally, it feels like the furthest thing from spring as the weather outside is gloomy and rainy, and we’re all quarantined at home due to the coronavirus outbreak, which is necessary precaution but an unfortunate one.

The pandemic has affected nearly every single industry including the production of many of your favorite TV shows. It’s also forced a handful of shows like The Resident and the Chicago franchise to air shortened seasons.

It’s also affected upcoming programming as many shows that were scheduled to air this spring are in limbo, canceled, or postponed.

On the bright side, there’s still a lot to look forward to in the world of network television and streaming as the industry works hard to entertain the masses and bring them some semblance of normalcy.

Rio Did Something Bad on ‘Good Girls’ and We Have to Stop Shipping Him

Published

We Need to Stop Shipping Rio on Good Girls

The writers of Good Girls are fed up.

Rio’s latest kill on “Au Jus” proves just how sick they’ve gotten of the constant Rio shipping that’s become all too common for the series.

Regardless of what Rio does or whom he hurts or betrays, the fandom is there rooting for him every step of the way because he’s attractive.

Rio has shot Dean, tortured Beth (part of that is her own fault but still) to no end, and killed Turner, and yet we all justified his actions as “necessary” and “part of the lifestyle.” We’ve excused his toxic and deadly behavior to fit our wants and needs so that we can continue being #TeamRio.

And it’s not surprising that the character has soared to new heights on the NBC series and become a fan favorite — he’s intoxicating.

Manny Montana is a godsend. His portrayal of Rio is nuanced and electric, his husky voice puts audiences in a trance, and he’s the bad boy we all collectively want a piece of.

He also has intense chemistry with Beth, and their sexual tension is delicious as it unravels on the small screen.

And maybe that’s the problem. Maybe Montana has done “too good” of a job with Rio.

Ask yourself this… if Rio wasn’t cute, sexy, and hard to get, would you still root for him? Chances are you wouldn’t. Rio’s attractiveness is masking who he truly is and we’re all falling for it.

But it stops now.

It was fun while it lasted, girls. #GoodGirls

A post shared by Good Girls (@nbcgoodgirls) on

After “Au Jus,” the writers needed him to cross a line that he couldn’t bounce back from. They effectively reminded audiences that there is no reason to root and champion for this specific bad guy.

After he gave the “okay” to pull the trigger on Lucy (granted he actually killed her since the camera panned away from the scene), he proved that he has absolutely no soul and no redeeming qualities. There’s no coming back from that kill.

He gave Lucy false hope, promised he wouldn’t kill her, and used the fact that she was trustworthy against her, but she never stood a chance.

Lucy, with her childlike innocence, was simply collateral in a toxic pull-and-tug between Rio and Beth. And she was disposed of when she served her purpose.

He didn’t shoot Lucy because he was scared she’d rat him out — he knew she wouldn’t —  he shot her to prove that he’s in charge; he was sick of Beth constantly undermining him.

Rio’s act was a stark reminder of just how dangerous and unpredictable he is. He doesn’t follow any rules, he doesn’t have any regard for human life, and he enjoys playing the game. He’s a cold-blooded killer who kills because he can.

He’s not the kind of man who can or should be redeemed. He’s not the man that should be championed or shipped. He’s not the guy that Beth should want to pursue, and he’s definitely not a man we should all be thirsting for regardless of how cute his smile is.

Whenever we root for bad guys on television, there’s usually an ounce of humanity that we can hold onto, but not with Rio.

Those minor moments when he shows emotion towards his kid or family used to make us think he had something redeemable quality, but that shouldn’t be mistaken for kindness anymore. Beth has fallen into that mindset and now, she’s deeper with him then she’s ever been.

He doesn’t care about the lives of others and he doesn’t care about Beth — the only person Rio cares about is Rio. He’ll do whatever to get what he wants, and if you thought otherwise, let this serve as a reminder.

When Rio killed Lucy, the writers of Good Girls killed Rio… and it seems like that was their intent all along.

And now, we need to do our job too. We need to stop shipping Rio.
