American Horror Story “Freak Show”- Bullseye (04×06)

Published

on

How are my freaks doing on this lovely evening? Last nights episode of Freak Show gave us some time to catch our breath after all the recent events. It was Elsa’s birthday this week. And although some think birthdays are a time for fun and celebration, that’s not how it’s done in Jupiter Florida. Elsa has big plans for her day… and her life in general. She is planning on leaving the show to a much more promising career in television. But before all that she is celebrating her day with a mystery man in her bedroom– Paul. Could you think of any other way to ring in your birthday?  She does promise him that when she’s TV famous, she will bring him along for the ride.

There is another problem though, Paul has a woman that isn’t Elsa. Penny is lusting for Paul, in the most serious way. From turning up randomly, to begging him to make love to her. This girl ain’t quitting. The only thing setting her back is her father. He takes strict to a whole new level.  Growing up I thought my dad was over protective, but Penny’s dad is borderline crazy. He basically breaks doors down just to see what she is doing in her room. He’s totally the “true freak” of the show…. the “normal” guy. Their always the ones you should watch out for.

Paul finds himself in a dilemma. He’s at the store buying perfume for Penny when he runs into Dandy.  Although it isn’t said that Dandy told on him, I think he totally did. The two argue about the Tatter Sister and how they disappeared and leave it at that. Back with Elsa, she smells the perfume and assumes he was with another woman, causing them to fight. Paul begins to notice how she really uses people, especially her little monsters.

The group looks angry and confused, and that pisses off Elsa even more. She yells at them saying she saved them, she made them something, she brought them here. Jimmy, the leader of the group, begs to see what they can do to prove their loyalty to her. Elsa looks at the Spinning Wheel of Death. Basically no one can  leave until one of them is strapped in and proves their trust and loyalty. Poor Paul stands up, and gets a dagger in the stomach for all his troubles.

Penny has no clue what happened to Paul, and ends up getting into an argument with her dad trying to sneak out. She is the true definition of teenage angst and I think the writers are trying to show how teens in the 50’s were. I mean we all had teenage angst and tried sneaking out of the house, but how many of us can say we fought for women’s rights, civl rights, war rights, and rock n’ roll? As she makes her way to the camp, she sees her love injured and Elsa looking at them with her crazy eyes.

OMG Moment:

Dot & Bette have become my favorite characters (Or character since they are conjoined).  Dandy is in love with them both, but only one really cares about him. Dot plots to use him for his money for now, since she’s planning to have surgery to remove herself from Bette. Poor Dandy has no clue.

Like I said freaks, it wasn’t an OMG epsiode, but it did give us enough time to catch our breaths after last weeks insane ride.

Scariest Horror TV Shows to Watch for Friday the 13th

Chilling TV Shows to Watch on Friday the 13th

Happy Friday the 13th.

If you’re in the mood to get your mind off of reality (we can’t blame you, we’re all tired of hearing about coronavirus) and watch some scary TV shows, we have just the thing.

While horror used to be a big-screen format, it has found a home on small-screens with shows eager to push forward complex and psychological mysteries, apocalyptic themed-themes, classic slasher tropes, and, for good measure, old fashioned jump scares.

Check out our list of Friday the 13 TV shows to watch!

Riverdale – The CW

Forget Freddie, Jason, and Michael, Riverdale has the Black Hood, the Gargoyle King, and Edgar Evernever. Riverdale, a town best known by its nickname “murder capital of the world,” is filled with murder mysteries and serial killers, and you never know if what you’re watching is what’s really happening.

Haunting of House Hill – Netflix

There’s nothing scarier than moving into a creaky, old house with your five children. Add in that the house begins to have paranormal experiences that haunt the family simply looking to make a quick buck from a house-flip and you have one of the scariest shows on Netflix. Keep the lights on, you’ll need ‘em.

Scream – MTV/ BET

We hope you remember Ghostface because he’s back this time in a TV series adaptation of the horror film franchise. The MTV series centered around a brutal murder in Lakewood that stirs up memories of a crime spree from the past. The masked killer is out for blood and revenge and leads you on a fun and twisted game of whodunnit.

Nancy Drew – The CW

Your favorite sleuthing book detective has made her way to the small screen. Horseshoe Bay is a town plagued by unsettled and ghostly spirits, but one reigns supreme: Lucy Sable. The Seaqueen was murdered in 2000 and has become somewhat of an urban legend until Nancy and her friends, the Drew Crew, decided to solve her mysterious death when it intertwined with another, connected murder.

Chilling Adventures of Sabrina – Netflix

The series will leave you praising Satan! Sabrina Spellman lives on the other side of the Sweetwater River in Greendale, the neighboring town of Riverdale. Sabrina is a half-watch, half-mortal who finds herself fighting against dark forces from the occult that threatens her human world.

The Exorcist – FOX

If the film scared you, the series will give you nightmares. Angela Rance turns to Father Tomas Ortego, a church leader in Chicago, for help battling the evil emitting from inside their house and causing nightmares and psychotic breaks.

American Horror Story – FOX

The anthology series from Ryan Murphy finds each season diving into a new disturbing and gruesome storyline though the actors appear in multiple episodes as new characters. Many elements of the plot are pulled loosely from real events, which makes it even more terrifying. To help you get a general idea, “Murder House,” “Asylum,” “Coven,” “Freakshow,” and “Hotel” are all different seasons to indulge in… if you dare.

Black Mirror – Netflix

When I was a little girl, the Twilight Zone series terrified me, but Black Mirror amplifies the genre by “tapping into the collective unease about the modern world.” In short, it examines modern society through the lens of technology, and there’s nothing scarier than being hit with a dose of realism. Each episode is a stand-alone drama, so you don’t have to watch it all at once.

Tell Me A Story – CBS All Access

These aren’t the fairy tales you’re used to. The anthology series, hailing from The Vampire Diaries’ Kevin Williamson, is a dark and twisted take on your favorite fairy tales as they emphasize qualities like greed, lust, murder, and revenge. Season 1 digs into “Little Red Riding Hood,” “Three Little Pigs,” and “Hansel and Gretel,” while season 2 taps into “Beauty and the Beast,” “Sleeping Beauty” and “Cinderella.”

The Purge – FX

Based off a film of the same name, the TV series explores what happens to a society when murder and all crime becomes legal for a 12-hour period. Seemingly unconnected characters cross paths, but can they be trusted on Purge Night or are they all just playing the game?

Les Revenants (The Returned) – A&E Network

When a group of men, women, and children return home to their village, they’re met with confusion as they’ve been dead for several years. A series of murder coincide with their return that seem connected to a serial killer from the past.

Ryan Murphy Announces ‘American Horror Story’ Spinoff That’s Equally as Chilling

Ryan Murphy Announces American Horror Story spinoff

From American Horror Story to American Horror Series

Ryan Murphy, the creator behind the anthology series, is planning to tell more horror stories in a spinoff that he announced via Instagram.

He described the new anthology series “American Horror Stories,” as a “one hour contained” series.

While details aren’t aplenty, it seems as though its an extension of the world he’s already built with each episode serving as a standalone story and featuring familiar faces from the FX show.

Some of those cast members signing onto the project are likely Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, and Katy Bates, who were all on-hand for the Zoom meeting discussion to announce the project.

With AHS renewed for three more seasons, Murphy has a lot of his plate, and fans are still anticipating the 10th season of the series.

The Wrap reported that Murphy’s theme for season 10 may be scrapped as filming was very “weather-dependent,” and never got to happen since the coronavirus pandemic shut down production.

“Well I don’t know, because a lot of what I was going to shoot was dependent on a very specific moment, it was a weather-dependent show. So now I don’t know. I don’t know what we’re going to do. I don’t know what I’m gonna do next with that show. I don’t know if I’ll accelerate another season or wait till next year to shoot this one,” he revealed.

So, as you see, the fate of season 10 is very much murky and floating into the unknown. However, we have absolutely no worries because there’s bound to be some deeply terrifying ideas in Murphy’s mind to replace the current theme that’ll shake us to the core.

And, we always have his spinoff series to look forward to!

WATCH: “American Horror Story” Invites You To The Cult for Season 7

AHS Season 7 Cult

Ryan Murphy is taking some inspo from R. Kelly for the upcoming 7th season of American Horror Story.

Sorry, we had to.

The director revealed the show’s new theme…. drumroll, please…. CULT.

Ryan, who is super secretive about show themes, dropped clues leading up to the reveal on Instagram, which included creepy clowns, American flags, and a person being eaten alive by a hive of bees. Not creepy at all.

While fans still don’t really know what “Cult” signifies but in his announcement, Murphy asked fans to “join the cult.”

Here’s what we know so far:

  • Twisty the Clown is back for the season.

  • So did Billie Lourd

If I were to take a guess, I would say the series will be set in a colonial town and everyone will be blindly in a patriotic, pro-America cult.

And maybe the cult is run by clowns? I’m definitely getting Purge movie vibes!

guess we’ll find out when the series debuts on Sept. 5!
