The only way for Vincent and Tori to escape the bomb alive is if they work together. Their powers are at a different high when they are together and if they can jump out the window together then they can live. When the bomb explodes, Reynolds has his hit man check the scene for any sign of the beasts’ death. He says that the two were eliminated, but Reynolds won’t believe it until he has some proof. The hit man ends up threatening our least favorite FBI agent and tells him that he would rig Reynolds’ house with a bomb if he didn’t pay him.
While Gabe and Cat are both driving back from Reynolds house after they both suspected him to be the handler, they find out about the bomb. Cat rushes to the building despite what had happened between her and Vincent the day before. Um Catherine, you’re searching for your boyfriend at the house of the woman he cheated on you with…! Hello is there any common sense in there?
Well it gets better because when Catherine takes her sorry self home to shower and change before she goes searching for Vincent, there he is, at her house. And no worries, Tori is bleeding on her couch. Cat just can’t catch a break, can she? Well once Gabe, Tess and JT find out the two beasts made it out of the bomb, they start coming up with a plan to get Reynolds to spend the rest of his life in prison. The only problem, Tori doesn’t agree with it, and she has that weird control over Vincent. Ugh girl beasts.
The plan is to get a beast body from the crematorium. Luckily, Zach, the love crazy beast that tried to kill Cat is still there. The team is going to use the body as evidence and the bomb rigger to incriminate Cat’s dad and put him in prison. All should have went well until Vincent and Tori start tracking the hit man. The team needs the hit man alive, and there’s something Tori doesn’t understand about listening I guess because she kills him the minute she sees him.
It’s a good thing Gabe is so smart. He takes the bomb maker’s phone and starts black mailing Reynolds like the hit man would have done. Reynolds falls for it and freaks. He books a flight out of the country and meets up with Catherine to say goodbye and wish her luck with her life until he can see her next. This new plan puts Gabe at risk because Gabe is the one that will drive in and meet Reynolds and hand over Zach’s body.
When Gabe gets there and meets with Cat’s father, he pulls a gun on him. Reynolds wants to know where the hit man is and Gabe refuses a location and just pretends that he’s only in it for the money. He makes up this story that he wants to disappear, and that’s when Reynolds says the key words that they needed to convict him — I should have killed you too.
Bingo! Now they have it. As Reynolds drives off in Gabe’s car, Cat runs off and jumps right in front of the car stopping him and pulling her gun out to read him his rights. As she starts driving to the station to bring him in, Vincent decides to join the party and jumps on the windshield causing Cat to lose control of the car. As Vincent is beating the complete shit out of her father, Catherine wakes up and tells him to back off as he starts to choke him to death. Vincent looks like he was about to listen, but then he wants to kill Reynolds so Cat shoots him. Yes, you heard me right, Cat finally found her brain and shot Vincent. Now Vincent has no choice, but to walk away.
Once Reynolds is in jail he tells Cat and Gabe that he will confess to everything, but the beasts. He wants Cat to have a beast-free life and everything he’s done, he’s done for her and to keep her safe. We end seeing her in Gabe’s arms.
Does this mean that Cat has a new love? Will she finally take Vincent out of her life and stick with Gabe? We saw Tori’s vengeful look when she saw that Vincent was shot, will the two go after Catherine? We will find out when the season starts back up again in January!
Beauty and the Beast airs Mondays at 9pm on The CW.

Beauty and the Beast: Catch Me If You Can (02 x 14)
This episode was centered all around the Gabe-Catherine-Vincent love triangle. I’m pretty sick of Catherine and her love life to say the least. The fact that a whole episode was spent on her terrible decisions was quite annoying, especially when we all know the outcome.
Catherine now holds all the cards with our desperate beast. Vincent wants Catherine back in his life and she knows it. She may seem all sweet and innocent, but she is totally playing both Gabe and Vincent like a bad poker game.
Vincent refuses to give up. You’ve got to admire the guy for it. He knows he’s a better choice for Catherine and he knows she doesn’t want the perfect relationship that Gabe is offering her.
Gabe…oh boy. I don’t even know where to start. Jealousy is not becoming on you, buddy. Quit being the needy significant other. We already saw where that got Tori — dead. He’s threatened by Vincent and he does not like that Cat’s old flame is still a major part of her life. His threatening Vincent was laughable. To tell Vincent that he’s a better option for Catherine, is not going to make him back off, it’s only going to make him try to be a better person to prove Gabe wrong. Gabe is fighting a losing battle.
And the last scene of the episode confirms all of our ideas. Catherine and Vincent cannot stay away from each other. I mean, Gabe, do you really think she “accidentally” fell into bed with him? No. She’s in love with him and though she may regret hurting Gabe, she knows what she wants in the long run. She wants Vincent. But is that what she really wants? With one episode left, where do you think the love story will end? With Gabe or Vincent? Tune in Monday at 9/8C on the CW!
