Glee star Cory Monteith was found dead in his Vancouver hotel room on Saturday night. Monteith played the football hero/singing hearthrob Finn Hudson on the popular Fox show. The actor recently turned 31.
Hotel staff became suspicious when the actor missed his check out time. When they wentto check up on him, they found the body. Police confirmed he was dead for several hours when the body was found. Surveillance tapes indicate that Monteith came home late Friday night and was not seen again. The cause of death is unknown, but foul play is not a factor.
An autopsy was scheduled for Monday and the PD is still pending toxicology reports to see if any illegal drugs were the cause of the actors sudden death. Initial reports indicated that a large amount of alcohol and drugs were found at the scene, but after further investigation the police released a statement saying that the hotel room was clean.
According to US Weekly, the Coroner’s office stated, “We might well have an update tomorrow, but final cause of death might be several days or even a couple of weeks after that.” Meanwhile, fans are leaving flowers by the hotel and grieving the tragic loss.
GLEE Executive Producers, 20th Century Fox Television and FOX Broadcasting Company posted the following statement on the “Glee” Facebook page:
“We are deeply saddened by this tragic news. Cory was an exceptional talent and an even more exceptional person. He was a true joy to work with and we will all miss him tremendously. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and loved ones,”
Monteith battled substance abuse since the young age of 13. His recent stint in rehab gained much support from his girlfriend and co-star, Lea Michelle. A statement released by Lea’s reps ask’s fans to respect her privacy during this devastating time.
Lea and Monteith dated for a year and she stood by him through thick and thin. She stood by him when he went to rehab in April, stating “I love and support Cory and will stand by him through this. I am grateful and proud he made this decision.”
Lea was in L.A after a vacation in Mexico with her girlfriends. Monteith was in Canada visiting his mother. Sources close to the actor stated he was in good spirits just a couple of days before his death.
Filming for season 5 of Glee has not begun and the writers and producers have gone into mandatory meetings to revise the script, which originally was heavily focused on Finns character.

Other cast members Amber Riley and Kevin McHale asked the fanbase to show some compassion in light of the tragic events.
“Show some respect. All our energy is going toward helping find Naya and praying for her safe return and for her family,” Riley wrote on Twitter. “No one owes anyone online a performance of grief. This is very real and devastating. Focus on Naya and her family. Not us. We don’t matter right now.”
McHale retweeted and added:
“I cannot begin to understand what Naya’s family must be feeling. I know the rest of us are completely shattered, but not without hope. Please respect her family & their privacy in this moment. Please refrain from judging those who don’t show their pain on social media.”

The comments defended Lea Michele’s silence in the wake of Rivera’s disappearance. Fans called her out for not speaking out, which forced her to delete her Twitter account.
Earlier this year, Michele was dragged for comments made by former actress Samantha Ware who said the actress was a bully and made her life a “living hell.” The comments were supported by other members of the cast.
Ahead that they’ll allow volunteers. Understand it’s 110 degrees here and if you’re not highly trained in search and rescue, this could end up a much more dangerous situation for everybody involved. Please be kind, compassionate and caring for those who are looking for our Naya

Earlier today, authorities revealed they found a body at Lake Piru where Rivera was last seen.
The timing is chilling considering today marks 7 years since Corey Monteith overdosed at the age of 31. Many fans have pointed to a Glee curse placed on the cast as Rivera marks the third cast member to die in her 30s. In addition to Rivera and Monteith, Mark Salling committed suicide in 2018 at the age of 35 after pleading guilty to child pornography.

From the eye of the storm I am still with you in spirit!”I am missing my home state of Louisiana and my city, the great city of New Orleans. The couple got engaged in May 2013 in Florence Italy. This is the first marriage for Accola. King shares two daughters with his ex-wife Julie.
They met at the DirecTV’s Celebrity BeachBowl in 2012, after co-star Nina Dobrev talked to King for Accola, who was too shy.
The newlyweds shared their first pictures after tying the knot on Instagram. The black-and-white photos captured the aura of the happy day, showing the newlyweds during their first dance and kissing in front of their guests.
Accola, 27, wore a Monique Lhuillier gown. The groom rocked a Tom Ford tux for the “French Quarter Wedding.”We hope the bride got permission from Klaus and Marcel for the party, as they tend to have some good old fashioned fights in the quarter.

- Charlie Hunnam can’t let 50 shades go… Can you blame him? Sons of Anarchy premiered yesterday, but the buzz is all about how Hunnam passed up the role of Christian Grey. Wait didn’t we already hear about this? Now, Hunnam is opening up about how the role gave him a mental breakdown. (Sidenote: I don’t think that’s the effect playing Mr. Grey is suppose to have on a person.)
When Hunnam took the role, he was currently playing three characters. “I was going to finish [filming] Sons at like 11 p.m. Friday night, get on the plane Saturday morning to Vancouver for Fifty, missing the whole first week of rehearsal and start shooting Monday morning,” Hunnam recalled. “And I was going to shoot that film, wrap that on the Wednesday and the following Monday I was going to start shooting Crimson Peak in Toronto. I just had like … frankly, something of a nervous breakdown,” he said.
Two months after being cast as Mr. Grey, Hunnam had to drop out of the massive production. “I just said, ‘I can’t … I can’t …. To fail on such a grand scale — because Fifty’s going to be massive, it’s going to be huge. I really didn’t want to fail on such a grand scale, and I just couldn’t transition from Jax Teller to Christian Grey in 48 hours. It’s painful because I loved the character and I wanted to do it. I’m also a man of my word.”
Well, as sad as it is, I think it’s safe to say Jamie Dornan did the character justice. Am I right?
