FOX is putting its dramas on the back burner until midseason.

Several dramas have been pushed to a January 2027 release date, including Murder in a Small Town, The Interrogator and Memory of a Killer. And fans who have been awaiting the highly-anticipated sequel to Baywatch will also have to wait a little longer, with the beachy drama launching in the new year.

The upcoming fall lineup will see scripted dramas Best Medicine and Doc, along with Animal Control. Everything else includes game shows and competitions such as Celebrity Weakest Link and The Floor.

“We have a rich history of launching series at midseason,” Fox Television Network President Michael Thorn said,  “We just did it most recently with ‘Best Medicine’ and ‘Memory of a Killer,’ and ‘Doc’ before that. And as you know, it goes all the way back to ’24’ and ‘Empire,’ and the ‘9-1-1s’ and ‘The Resident.’ Obviously, ‘Baywatch’ is a huge, huge priority for us, and we think we have a great opportunity to set the show up for success there.”

Will There Be ‘Tracker’ Season 4?

Tracker Season 3 Episode 2 Leverage

With Tracker’s Season 3 finale less than a week away, fans of the Justin Hartley-led drama are likely wondering whether or not the CBS series will return for a fourth season.

And there’s some good news in store, along with some changes coming up ahead of the fourth installment. Hopefully, Colter and Russell (guest star Jensen Ackles) find their way out of a highly stressful situation in the season finale, a storyline continued from the penultimate episode, in which the brothers made some shocking discoveries about the work their father did prior to his death that was funded by the government and included testing on high-IQ children.

Read on for everything we know!

Tracker Season 4—Is It Happening?

Yes, Tracker Season 4 has officially been renewed by CBS. It’s not much of a surprise, given it’s one of the network’s biggest shows.

The fourth season will return to CBS on Sundays this fall in the same 9/10ET time slot that fans have come to expect. A return date has yet to be announced.

Tracker Season 4 Will Introduce Changes

While Tracker Season 4 will continue airing in its regular time slot, remaining unchanged, the drama itself will undergo a bit of a shake-up. We’re not talking about the series embracing a supernatural and conspiracy-driven genre, however, but the show’s decision to swap filming locations from Vancouver to Los Angeles to embrace the California tax credit. Those sprawling, picturesque backdrops serve as a secondary character for Colter and co. and will look a bit different, though hopefully, it won’t impact the storytelling.

Tracker Season 3 previously saw a similar shake-up when two core cast members exited, replaced with Chris Lee (Randy), along with the introduction of Mel Day (Cassady McClincy Zhang), a character fans didn’t fully trust initially.

‘High Potential’ Season 3 Just Got Some Disappointing Scheduling News

High Potential Matthew Gonzalez In Memory

The wait for season 3 of High Potential may be slightly longer than anticipated.

ABC joined the primetime TV networks in releasing the 2026-2027 Fall TV schedule, and fans were quick to notice that High Potential is not on the lineup.

The disappointing scheduling news reveals that the Kaitlin Olson-led series is being delayed until midseason.

ABC SVP of content strategy and scheduling Ari Goldman assured that the unexpected pushback has nothing to do with the series, but rather a decision made to prioritize the timeslot for another title, offering it up to the recently renewed for a sophomore season, R.J. Decker.

“We do want to keep using that launch pad of ‘Dancing with the Stars’ to get some new content off the ground,” Goldman told TheWrap.

With High Potential a huge hit for ABC (season 2’s ratings hit a high note), the drama doesn’t need the lead-in support that some of the other shows do, adding, “With ‘High Potential’ and the really dominant success that it’s enjoyed, we have no real concern about the audience not making the journey over to midseason to follow the show.”

What that means for fans is simply a longer wait time, which hopefully means that the added months allow Steve Howey’s Nick Wagner to fit some guest appearances into the schedule (pending Nick’s survival following the High Potential Season 2 cliffhanger, of course).

The news of High Potential being moved to midseason comes after the series landed on its newest showrunners.

Ahead of season 3, the ABC hit drama lost its showrunner, Todd Harthan, with Nora and Lilla Zuckerman, who previously served as showrunners on Peacock’s Poker Face, with writing work on Suits, Agents of SHIELD and Fringe, stepping into the role of co-showrunners and executive producers.

So, while fans will now have to wait until 2027 for new episodes of High Potential (with hopes it arrives early in the year, possibly January), the extra time could ultimately give the series room to deliver the payoff viewers are expecting in terms of Wagner’s life hanging in the balance, the Roman Sinquerra mystery and the relationship between Morgan and Karadec.

As for what scripted dramas ABC will be focusing on in the fall, that includes Scrubs, 9-1-1, 9-1-1 Nashville and Grey’s Anatomy, along with hit comedy Abbott Elementary.

CBS has unveiled its 2026–2027 fall primetime lineup, going big with a slate built around returning ratings leaders, major franchise expansions, and several high-profile new series.

The network, which says it is on track to deliver the season’s top three primetime series with  Tracker, Marshals, and 60 Minutes, along with multiple top new shows and returning favorites, is leaning heavily into franchise power, sports, and event programming.
