Gossip Girl- Raiders of the Lost Art

Published

on

“It takes a special level of crazy to go to those extents to keep your secret.”

Bass-hole!! And this time I’m not talking about Chuck. This weeks episode brought back the original magic of Gossip Girl as Lola, Serena, Nate, Chuck and Blair teamed up to help Chuck find out who his father is and take down Diana Payne along the way, while bringing back the real Gossip Girl. With lonely boy alone in Brooklyn it seems like everything fell into place.

What none of us saw coming was the epic jaw dropper at the end. Bart Bass is alive. After all the torture that Chuck put himself through after his fathers death. All the time he spent looking for Elizabeth. All the lies and all the deception. Although his attempt at finding out if Jack was his father, or if Elizabeth was his mother, he found out something much more scandalous. You know what they say, don’t go looking for things you don’t want to find. Yet, as with every revelation we begin to ask questions. Why did Bart Bass fake his own death? Why did he lie to his son? Why is Diana Payne in all of the Bass family secrets?? Why did she lie and pretend to be Chuck’s mother? What was the boat coming for? What the hell is going on. And all of this to happen at one of the most convenient places for the Bass family; a sex house.

I cannot help but smile at the fact that slowly and surely Blair and Chuck are going back to each other. They have this magnetic field that pulls them together no matter how hard they pull apart. Thats not too say that it wasn’t heartwarming to watch lonely boy pull his hair out at the sight of Queen B and Chuck together. Dan loves her, its a fact, but theres something about the chemistry between Blair and Chuck that has been missing for awhile. Even in the given circumstances Blair sticks by Chuck’s side and is there for him when he needs it most. Chair fans were even in for a treat with some kinky jokes between the couple. Truthfully, Dan kind of screwed himself over by rejecting the offer to Italy. His love for Blair, who unfortunately didn’t say I love you back, has been taken to a whole new level. It is a possibility that by leaving for the summer he risks loosing Blair to Chuck, but whats meant to be will be, that’s definitely no reason to jeopardize ones future.

Saving team Serena was also something that had to be done. In the past episodes Serena has kind of become the ugly duck that isolated herself from everyone. It even went as far as almost betraying her friends because of the obsession she has with Gossip Girl. It probably isn’t a pleasant feeling getting tricked by your half sister and ex-bf (who is dating your newly acquired half-sis) but they really saved her from herself. Order has been restored on the Upper East Side and truthfully speaking, Serena just didn’t do the sight justice. But I bet that Nate and Lola will bite themselves in the tongue when news of Bart’s resurrection gets out and they won’t be able to prevent Gossip Girl from spilling the beans. Another thing to consider, before outing Diana Payne as the organizer of a brothel, Nate might want to check with Chuck if running the story is ok. A lot of press might not be too good around such a big secret.

After all is said and done, many props have to be given to Dorota. As a character who is seen briefly on each episode she always has the wittiest lines and is a pro at executing missions for Blair. Whether its getting locked in a closet on Blairs wedding, her brilliant massage therapy session with Diana or giving Serena advice to go to Best Buy and get a new lap top, Dorota’s character really doesn’t get enough recognition. Only two more episodes till the season finale and there is a lot of explaining to be done!

Memorable Quotes

  • GG: They say in life there’s two sides to every story. But here on the Upper East Side, there’s three. There’s his, hers and more importantly, mine.
  • GG: Be careful Lola. When you double cross a double agent there’s always double trouble.
  • Brothel girl: You look like the type that would like the royal theme.
    • Blair: Not anymore..
  • Blair: We’d love to. Every room, even the occupied ones.
    • Chuck: She likes to watch.
  • Chuck: After everything we’ve been through there’s no room for secrets, nor should there be.
  • Diana: Silence is expensive, you know that.

‘Gossip Girls’ Lily and Rufus Actually Dating?

Published

on

Before I get into this new dating scoop, I’m going to tell all of my Gossip Girl fanatics and Upper East Sider’s to take a deep breathe. You ready? Okay.

Lily and Rufus may be dating in real life!!!

They might not have ended up together in the show, but they seem to be getting another chance.

It’s rumored the actors that portrayed Serena and Dan’s parents–Kelly Rutherford and Matthew Settle– are an item.

The hashtag “Lily and Rufus” became a trending topic on Twitter last night.

So, what sparked these rumors? Instagram. Turns out, these two are pretty fond of each other… and their both single.

And if that isn’t enough…. Settle posted a pic of him and Rutherford with the caption, “Happy Valentines,” with the hashtag ‘Settleford.’

And most recently, Feb 20th to be exact, he added a picture of a chess board, tagging Rutherford and adding the caption, “Things are never black and white.”

So, are they or aren’t they?

I say yes. And that may be the best news I’ve heard all day!

The picture is a gorgeous reveal, taken by her brother Eric Lively. She’s beaming down and cradling her tummy, surrounded by the sunset.

Lively has been very vocal about  wanting a big family, ever since marrying Reynolds in 2012. “I gotta get started,” she told Marie Claire in its September 2014 issue. “If I could spit out a litter of kids, I would.”

She’s also gushed about what a great father Reynolds would be, adding, “The fact that he lived so much before we got together, he’s the exact realized person that he should be. And so I get to share my life with the person he’s become, and we get to grow from there.”

Lively and Reynolds met in 2010 on the set of The Green Lantern and married in 2011. Reynolds was previously married to actress Scarlett Johannson, who welcomed her first child, Rose, with her fiance earlier this year.

Lively seems genuinely happy and committed to this relationship, so no doubt, she will be the cutest pregnant woman. And her child, will be gorgeous!  Gossip Girl will really have something to write about now– Serena’s little baby bump. Xo Xo.

Blake Lively Takes Over Vogue’s Twitter- Reflects on GG

Published

Gossip Girl here!

Blake Lively took over Vogue’s twitter on Monday Aug 4 and gave fans the answers to all their questions! It seems that ever since GG, Lively hasn’t been able to stay away from blogging and tweeting.
One thing Lively admitted was that she would love the share the screen with hubby Ryan Reynolds again. The duo famously fell in love after co-starring in 2011’s The Green Lantern.

When a fan asked if she would do another movie with her husband of nearly two years, Lively responded, “”In the olden days, a couple could be in every movie together, but it’s just not like that anymore. We both wish we could go back to then, because that would be a lot of fun.”

There were also questions about Gossip Girl… obviously. One fan asked if she missed her role as NY socialite Serena van der Woodsen. Lively tweeted back saying, “”I miss the people that I worked with, our cast and our crew. But I don’t miss the 16-hour days.”

One of Lively’s favorite seasons to shoot was the first one. Think 2007. “It was the 1st year I lived in New York City and what a way to live in NY,” she explained. “It was very special and surreal.”

Lively also took the time to explain her participation in the Beyonce and Jay-Z “On the Run” tour promotion video. “It was the first moment in my life where I truly felt cool,” she tweeted. “It gave me a high sense of self-esteem for a good 10 min.”

Lively is currently working on her lifestyle website Preserve. But we’re secretly hoping she gets back to the big– or small– screen very soon. And we wouldn’t mind if it was with her dashing husband.
