The Justin Timberlake special that aired on tonights CW was actually the same interview that aired on last nights KISS FM radio stations. My blog post from earlier talked a little bit about that and the interview with Ryan Seacrest.
Thankfully, the Iheartradio special did provide us with the exclusive first look at Mr. Timberlake’s emotional music video for his second single off of his album The 20/20 Experience, “Mirrors.”
The video really reminded me of Alice in Wonderland where people are gazing through a looking glass. Basically, it follows a couple thats reminiscing on how they met and how they were when they were younger. It goes through the good stages and the bad stages and in the meantime shows them being reflections of each other. They mirror each others actions and movements as if in time they had grown to be one person. At least, that’s the interpretation that I can take from the video, that the older couple is getting sentimental reliving the past. Their looking through mirrors in this one room or through fun house mirrors as if into the past. Anyways the video has many messages.
The beginning was dedicated to William and Sadie, which are actually JT’s grandparents. William passed earlier this year and the video is a dedication to the love that they shared. It makes it even more special and explains the ending where the man and woman are coming together and he suddenly just dissapears. The lady than takes off her wedding ring and throws it down. Justin catches the ring and starts dancing amongst other mirrors and fun house looking creatures, to which he shares a mirror-like connection as well. The video shows many levels of depth, but a wide range of generations. In a way, its like a timeline of events that led up to the birth of JT, a pop sensation and legend, which his grandparents must be proud of.
While most of the songs on Timberlake’s newest album are dedicated to love, its refreshing to see that the love he’s referring to isn’t only to his new wife, Biel. Many of Jt’s older videos have an emotional in depth connection, but this one tops them all. Justin also revealed that this is only part one of his album, so stayed tuned folks, another round of really incredible Pop/R&B with Timbaland flavor is on its way!

Torrey DeVitto, Yaya DaCosta Leaving ‘Chicago Med’ Ahead of Season 7
Someone rush over a crash cart because this news has crushed us!
Chicago Med is losing two incredible cast members ahead of the NBC drama’s seventh season.
Torrey DeVitto, who plays doctor Natalie Manning, and Yaya DaCosta, who plays nurse April Sexton, will not be returning in the fall, per Deadline.
DaCosta is leaving to lead Lee Daniels’ Our Kind of People, which nabbed a straight-to-series order at FOX.
DeVitto, from Pretty Little Liars and One Tree Hill fame, will star in an upcoming indie film titled Skelly.
She even confirmed the news to her fans on social media, writing: “Well, looks like the cat is out of the bag…All good things must come to an end.
It has been such an honor and pure joy to bring Dr. Natalie Manning to life for all of you on Chicago Med for the past 6 seasons. But it is now time for her and me to bow out and say goodbye.
Thank you to all you loyal watchers who adored her as much as I did.
I can’t wait to share what’s to come with all of you. New adventures await!”
Both DeVitto and DaCosta have appeared in the #OneChicago franchise since Med’s premiere in 2015.
Per the publication, their contracts were up at the end of season 6 and both actresses decided not to renew.
The rest of the cast ( S. Epatha Merkerson as Sharon Goodwin, Oliver Platt as Dr. Daniel Charles, Nick Gehlfuss as Dr. Will Halstead, Brian Tee as Dr. Ethan Choi and Marlyne Barrett as nurse Maggie Lockwood) is expected to return pending contract negotiations.
The current storylines have seemingly been setting up for the actresses’ exits as Manning found herself in hot water after stealing medication to help her mother, while April decided to return to nursing school.
We’ll definitely miss DeVitto and DaCosta, but we wish them the best of luck in future projects!
