The talk of the town is the casting, which includes Emma Roberts in the lead role alongside Kim Kardashian (who has been praised for what she’s bringing to the screen this season), The Resident’s Matt Czuchry, and Cara Delevigne. It will be split into two parts, with the first arriving on Sept. 20 on FX and streaming the next day on Hulu. There’s currently no premiere date for the second part, however, the AHS spinoff American Horror Stories will also return with a four-episode Halloween event on Hulu on Oct. 26. When Is ‘Goosebumps’ Coming Out? Everything We Know About the Disney+ Horror Series

Published

Goosebumps - When is the 2023 TV Show coming out?

There’s nothing more classic than the Goosebumps series—’90s kids know all too well.

From books to films and even a brief TV show in 1995, the franchise has been haunting our nightmares ever since R.L Stine brought it to life in 1992.

And now, a new generation—though, who are we kidding? Millennials will undoubtedly be watching—is going to discover what the horror franchise is all about.

Disney+ and Hulu are capitalizing on the spookiest day of the year, Friday the 13th, by launching the upcoming 2023 series created by Rob Letterman and Nicholas Stoller.

The first 5 episodes will premiere on Oct. 13, with the remaining 5 episodes (for a total of 10) will drop weekly every Friday until the finale on Nov. 17.

How can you watch Goosebumps? Well, I’m glad you asked because you don’t have to get Disney+ if you don’t have it—the chilling series will be released simultaneously on Hulu as part of the Huluween lineup

As for the synopsis, the plot will follow five high schoolers as they investigate the tragic passing of a teen named Harold Biddle three decades prior, which will, in turn, unearth some dark and uneasy secrets from their parents’ past. Yep, looping in parents is how they get the millennials invested, with some fans even praising the more “mature” approach to the content. They know their audience, that’s for sure!

5 Biggest Moments from ‘The Fall of the House of Usher’

They’ve even brought in some iconic cast members to fill the roles as the Goosebumps cast will star Justin Long as Nathan Bratt, the new English teacher in town connected to the supernatural murder, along with Rachael Harris as Nora and Rob Huebel as Colin. The teens in the series will be portrayed by Ana Yi Puig (Isabella), Miles McKenna (James), Will Price (Jeff), Zack Morris (Isaiah), and Isa Briones (Margot).

And yes, the series will be inspired by the books as the creators are basing them on the original stories from “Say Cheese and Die!”, “The Haunted Mask,” “The Cuckoo Clock of Doom,” “Go Eat Worms!” and “Night of the Living Dummy,” which, admittedly, were some of my favorites from middle school.

You can check out the trailer here before the series premieres as it teases the return of Slappy the Dummy, an iconic fictional character.
