Kerry Washington-Scandal Finale Spoilers

Published

on

We’re just days away from the season finale of Scandal and rumor has it, it’s going to be EXPLOSIVE. Kerry Washington admitted that there was a pun intended.

Washington talked to The Hollywood Reporter about the finale, saying so much and so little at the same time!

So what useful information did the very-pregnant starlet dish out. Well, lets dig in.

The finale deals with the final election day. Washington admitted that during the one-hour game changing finale, they will deal with the bombing incident and move forward. As for the intensity/outcome of how bad that bombing will be, there is no word.

KERRY WASHINGTON

Olivia’s father is also clinging onto his life after getting brutally stabbed by ex-wife and Liv’s mom Maya Pope. “You will learn a lot about Olivia by the way in which she interacts with her parents and their mortality in this episode,” said Washington. Do you see what I mean by so little being said?!!

The fate of B6-13 is also up in the air. During the last two episodes, Olivia and associates destroyed the government based agency, which kind of resulted in the madness we’re in right now. Olivia is to blame for everything. But will B6-13 survive? “Everybody’s relationship with B613 is shifting in a big way. I can imagine a world where it does and doesn’t exist, but you’ll have to wait and see which one we go with,” Washington teased.

But the best part of this interview was finding out that Washington was actually on Team Mellie. Can you believe it?? As viewers, we spend our time constantly torn between the Presidents wife and his mistress. Who do we like more? Now we find out that Olivia Pope actually doesn’t like Olivia Pope? Well, not necessarily. Here’s how Washington put it.

“It’s been fun to see. I’m voraciously Team Mellie. I’m obsessed with #Mew and I love that there are so many people concerned with that new relationship. And rightfully so because we’ve all been waiting to see this part of Mellie and to have her have this aspect of her character come to life. It’s pretty crazy what goes down.”

Basically, you can actually be on both teams!! Score! “I’m of the firm belief that you don’t have to be either Team Olivia or Team Mellie — you can be both. People always ask me that on Twitter and Bellamy and I are both. It’s a nod to these writers that they’re not afraid of the complexity of having two fully evolved, complicated women — more than two with but we’re talking about these two. They’ve both been spun on their heads this season; you think of Olivia as a superhero and you realize how much more vulnerable she is. And the same with Mellie; you think she’s just an evil villain and then realize how much more vulnerable she is. That’s really awesome and courageous on the writers’ part,” Washington explained.

As for a scoop on the election and if Fitz will win/lose on his own, Washington admitted that no one every really wins an election on their own. “That’s part of what the show is about. We see the machine behind how these things happen. I don’t think anybody is every winning an election on their own — either in real life or on our show. You get to see how the machine, including Fitz himself, responds to circumstances around him,” she said.

What are your hopes for the season finale??? Do you think it’ll be as insane as everyone’s making it out to be? Click on the link above to read the full Hollywood Reporter interview!

When Does ‘Manifest’ Season 4 Part 2 Release on Netflix?

Published

on

Are you ready for Flight 828 to make its final descent?

On April 7, Netflix revealed the release date for the second half of the plane drama, along with a new teaser trailer to hold fans over.

Manifest Season 4 Part 2—all 10 episodes—will land on the streamer on Friday, June 2, 2023. For those that are keeping score, it’s a year ahead of the June 2, 2024 Death Date (so does this mean they find a way to beat it?!).

Netflix typically releases new episodes at 12:00 a.m. Pacific Time, which means it will drop at 3:00 am Eastern and 2:00 am CT.

And according to the teaser trailer, things are just as ominous as we expected when we saw the final shot of Season 4 Part 1 of Angelina bringing forth destruction via volcanic fissures.

“The world is ending and we know when,” Josh Dallas’ Ben Stone remarks in the trailer as everyone emphasizes June 2 numerous times.

Here’s the full synopsis for the forthcoming final set of episodes.

“A mysterious accident delivers ominous warnings on a biblical scale that will further jeopardize the livelihood of all the passengers,” the synopsis reads. “As Michaela [Melissa Roxburgh] grieves the loss of her beloved husband Zeke [Matt Long], she must team up with her old flame Jared [J.R. Ramirez] to find new methods to investigate Callings.”

Watch the teaser below:

The end may be near, but there’s still plenty of story left to tell—and we hope that they do right by the ending, giving a satisfactory conclusion to longtime fans who have rallied behind the series from day 1 when it was still on NBC.
