It’s a shocking and unexpected happily ever after for Naya Rivera. Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Dorsey! No one saw this coming right?
Naya Rivera said “I do” to actor Ryan Dorsey in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico over the weekend during the most shocking wedding of the year.
Most of us believed that this was just a new romance for Naya, who ended her relationship and engagement to rapper Big Sean three months ago, but we were way off. Actually, until she shared pictures of her and her mystery man riding donkey this weekend, no one was even aware she had a new beau. Before dating speculations could even start, the couple was married. Surprise!
Naya didn’t marry a complete stranger though. She’s actually been friends with Ryan for four years.
“They were friends for a long time,” a source told Us Weekly. “It turned into love!”
Could that be the reason why Big Season called off the engagement just months after popping the question?
The Dorsey’s– cause we can call them that now right– gave their first official statement to US Weekly stating, “We feel truly blessed to be joined as husband and wife. Our special day was fated and everything we could have ever asked for. True love always prevails,” they added.”
And if things weren’t crazy enough, new reports are saying that she married Ryan on the same date she was suppose to marry Big Sean. Yikes! That’s one way to recycle your wedding invitations right?
The date of their wedding is also Ryan’s birthday, so they killed two birds with one stone!
Another source revealed to US Weekly that her friends are just as shocked as we are. “Naya didn’t tell most of her friends that she was marrying Ryan Dorsey, let alone that she was dating him! The whole thing is a complete surprise.”
The cherry on top? Big Sean was nearby the whole time, recording with Kanye West in Cabo San Lucas in Punta Mita, Mexico. Honestly, this whole wedding reeks of her ex-fiance. Part of me feels like it’s a sad attempt at not letting anything— the invitations, the wedding dress, the venue— go to waste. But I might be wrong and maybe this is just purely love.

‘Virgin River’ Announces Season 2 Premiere Date Just in Time for the Holidays!
Season 2 of Virgin River officially has a premiere date!
The Netflix drama will return less than a year after the first season debuted on Dec 6, 2019.
Fans can catch up with Mel, Doc, and Jack Sheridan on Friday, November 27th! If you think about it, it’s the perfect day for a feel-good show to premiere as everyone will be sitting at home stuffed after Thanksgiving dinner. And since Black Friday sales are going virtual to tame the spread of COVID, less shopping gives everyone ample time to kick up their feet and binge-watch!
Virgin River season 1 focused on Mel (played by This Is Us‘ Alexandra Breckenridge), a nurse practitioner who moved from LA to a remote Northern California town who was forced to face her past and grieve before being able to call Virgin River home.
Season 2 teases: “Engagement. Babies. Heartbreak. Murder. For a small town, Virgin River has its fair share of drama — and Mel Monroe is often in the middle of it.”
Yep, we can’t wait.
Also returning for season 2 are Annette O’Toole, Lauren Hammersley, Colin Lawrence, and Grayson Gurnsey. Sarah Dugdale will join the cast as Lizzie.
While there isn’t a full trailer of the upcoming season, the Netflix November lineup video shows some great snippets:
