I like this town, I really do.. And I’ve liked it since about 2003 when One Tree Hill premiered. You see I cried on the last season finale when I saw Jaime walking in Uncle Lucas’s footsteps because that would have been the perfect ending to the perfect series but when I saw those white letters on a black background I knew I was home. See One Tree Hill doesn’t need to have insane out of this world drama for it to be a good show. I connect with the characters and seeing them is like seeing my friends grow up- only I’m growing up too. This season looks like a promising one, not that I ever doubt the producers and writers, I just wish that Peyton was coming back with Lucas one final time.
This episode was more of a “Welcome Back” to catch fans up on what they missed during the break. Brooke had twins and their turning out to be a pain in the ass because all they do is cry. Fortunately Brooke and Julian are a power couple that approach every bad moment in life with some comical relief and an optimistic attitude. For this reason, Brooke has been one of my favorite characters throughout. She never focuses on the bad things because things could be a lot worse, but if her biggest problem in life are crying babies, than damn she is one lucky woman. Brooke also gives a lot of chances to people who don’t really deserve them. In the past seasons it was to Victoria, but in this new season its to her father Ted. Heres hoping that this relationship doesn’t head south.
As much as Haley moans and complains deep down inside she missed Chris Keller just as much as I did. Seeing familiar faces in Tree Hill is so heartwarming and you know whenever Chris Keller is around, trouble is not far behind. Only this time it seems that it is going to involve Miss Duprey and her boyfriend Chase. As sex addicted and infatuated with each other as they are, they are the couple on this show thats on a constant honey moon and Chris Keller can smell them out like new born babies and he will feed on that…. (Yeah I know this isn’t Vampire Diaries I know I know, no feeding on people).
Who this creep trying to stalk Haley’s household and Karen’s Cafe is I’m not quite sure, but I don’t feel too vested in the story line either way. I believe Tree Hill has had enough of their psycho-stalkers for the time being. Unless its Uncle Lucas popping back for a visit I’ll take it, but than why would he be all cryptic and snoopy? I also don’t understand the Clay and Quinn storyline? Sure Clay is sleep walking and we all know the dangers of that but why? Is he still under some pressure from the shooting? This brings me to my next point…
I am not really sure what the first 2 minutes of the episode were all about because there was no specification as to how much time had gone by between the first scenes and the latter episodes. Why was Chris Keller working with Dan? Dan specified that his diner burned down when he reached out to Haley for help, but when he was in the car with Keller it seemed like they were watching his diner burn down so does that mean Dan is still a evil person and he is lying his way into Nathan’s life? Who does Haley find under that white sheet? Does Nathan die? Why is Julian getting beat up and why is Brooke destroying her cafe? And why the hell is Chase being arrested? It is so typical of OTH writers to leave us with all these questions.
One thing is for certain, I have never been nor will I ever be a Clay and Quinn fanatic so if shipping off Clay to Europe is the only solution to Nathan getting more screen time than so be it. And may I emphasize the fact that Peyton should be running the cafe alongside her friends B. Davis and H. James as they exchange baby advice and bask in their hometown glory (check out that whole “Hello Brooke, Ohh I love that. Goodbye Haley, Ohh I love that” scene). These are precisely the scenes I love OTH for. And of course their opening quotes and always tasteful music.
- Nathan: Some day after mastering the winds, the waves, the tides and gravity, we will harness for God the energies of love and then, for a second time in history of the world man will have discovered fire.
- Julian: I think they tag off. That way they both get their rest unlike us.
- Julian: People say it gets better… People lie!
- Julian: Plan C. We’ll take them to an orphanage. Their cute somebody will take them.
- Nathan: People say hell is endless. They say its our worst nightmare, the face of our darkness. But whatever it is, however it is, I say hell is empty and all the devils are here.
- Brooke: They team up on me with their wonder twin powers of cuteness and its like I get a double dose of guilt.
- Chris Keller: Ok Ok you don’t look hot, even though you do.
- Victoria: Whatever makes you think he’ll change?
- Brooke: You did.
- Keller: The song is crappy, that ass is not.
- Haley: And I sleep better knowing your side of the bed is closer to the door because if somebody breaks in their probably going to get to you first and then I can run ok.
- Nathan: You say the sweetest things to me Haley James.
- Brooke: Its funny, I grew up in Tree Hill. I spent most of my life here. But it wasn’t until my boys wee born and I couldn’t sleep that I really got to know this place.
- Julian: Their buying boys in China!!
- Keller: Chris Keller likes jamming with Chris Keller. That way he’s working with the best.

One Tree Hill: Why Haley and Lucas Were Friendship Goals
There are plenty of relationships fans can “ship” on One Tree Hill.
You can be #TeamBrucas, #TeamLeyton, or #TeamNaley, and they’re all great in their own way.
But there’s undoubtedly one relationship that trumps them all — Laley, aka Lucas and Haley.
As with all friendships, they’ve had a fair share of ups-and-downs.
They grew apart briefly, but despite the rocky road, they’ve always managed to come back to each other and never lose the love.
On One Tree Hill Season 4 Episode 3, Haley asked Lucas to promise her that “matter what happens, you and I will always be friends.” And he kept that promise.
Significant others came and went, but Lucas and Haley remained best friends throughout the entirety of the series.
Even after Lucas and Peyton drove off into the sunset (Chad Michael Murray and Hilarie Burton exited the show on One Tree Hill Season 6), their friendship lived on off-screen.
When it comes to OTH relationships, Haley and Lucas’s was the purest one.
It was the most enduring relationship in the series, having started in childhood.
When we met them on One Tree Hill Season 1 Episode 1, they already had an established connection that was built on a foundation of trust and memories.
Their dynamic would have allowed the writers to easily cross the line and give in to the played-out friends-to-lovers trope (and maybe that was even the plan at one point), but the best thing about Lucas and Haley is that they never crossed that line.
The fact that they remained best friends and never pursued each other romantically made them far more interesting than if they would have ever considered dating.
In a small town like Tree Hill, it’s almost unheard of for a guy and girl to be “just friends.”
But Haley and Lucas proved that members of the opposite sex could love each other platonically.
These are some of our favorite things about them:
They Were Protective Over Each Other
We first begin to understand Lucas and Haley’s relationship on One Tree Hill Season 1 Episode 1.
They’re the outcasts that always stuck together and had each other’s backs.
When Nathan starts cozying up to Haley after she offers to tutor him, Lucas gets protective and warns her against getting involved with his half-brother because he believes he’s only getting close to her to get back at him.
While Lucas isn’t entirely wrong, he also trusts Haley to make the right decision, even if he doesn’t agree with it.
In turn, Haley’s decision to tutor is fueled by wanting to protect Lucas. She offers Nathan her math tutoring services on the condition that stop bullying Lucas and leave him alone.
They Cheer Each Other Up
Though it would be easy for Lucas to point out that he warned Haley about Nathan’s self-serving intentions, he never does. Instead, he’s there for his best friend.
On One Tree Hill Season 1 Episode 7, when Haley believes that Nathan’s been making fun of their relationship, she confesses that he showed her his true colors and she fell for it because she’s “stupid,” but Luke assures her that she’s far from it.
Instead of saying, “I told you so,” he’s supportive and lends her a shoulder to cry on.
On One Tree Hill Season 1 Episode 18, famously known as the “Boy Toy Episode,” Haley taps into her savings from the cafe so that she can buy Lucas during the auction to spend time with him.
At the end of a fun-filled night, Lucas assures Haley that “If Nathan doesn’t see how special you really are, then he’s an idiot cause I think you’re amazing.”
He may not be fully supportive of the relationship, but he always wanted her to follow her heart and be happy.
One Tree Hill: Where Are They Now?
Teen drama One Tree Hill ended its nine-season run in 2012, and there hasn’t been a show quite like it since.
Many of the actors catapulted into stardom thanks to the series and are now killing it on both the big and small screen. Meanwhile, others have removed themselves from the spotlight completely.
However, nothing bonds a group of strangers quite like a TV show. Their bond has remained strong, and they continue to hang out and keep in touch with fans at conventions which have also kept the legacy of the series alive for new and old fans alike.
There are even talks of a possible revival in the near-future.
So, let’s return to Tree Hill and see what your basketball-loving, small-town actors have been up to since the series wrapped.

Chad Michael Murray Adresses Rumblings of “One Tree Hill” Revival at Chicago Convention
In the spirit of revivals, fans were eager to find out if a season 10 of the hit show “One Tree Hill” is in the works.
“We were just talking about this actually,” Stephen Colleti (bar manager Chase) said at the EyeCon convention this weekend.
“I’ll do it,” Antwon Tanner (Skills) added.
The story goes, Chad Michael Murray (Lucas Scott) approached James Lafferty (Nathan) after he heard “rumblings” of a possible One Tree Hill reunion/revival.
James, who is close to OTH creator Mark Schwahn, had not heard anything “official” but said he could “see it happening.”
“We haven’t heard anything substantial but we can agree with you guys, it’s worthy” Stephen added to a room full of ecstatic fans.
