What to Watch
Is There a New ‘Traitors: New Blood’ Episode Tonight (October 1, 2026)? Full NBC Release Schedule

Traitors has proved that the format works even when the contestants in Alan Cumming’s Scottish castle aren’t famous.
You put a bunch of strangers into a castle, use money as the motivation, push them to their limits during challenges, throw a few traitors hiding amongst them, and watch them swiftly turn on each other at every round table.
Instead of eliminating traitors, they are outing faithfuls, while the cloaked murderers use their daggers in the shadows to kill off even more of their faithful flock.
And thus, with or without celebrities, the concept of Traitors works because it plays on our instinct to trust others while constantly questioning who might betray us. That tension—combined with deception, strategy, and the thrill of figuring it out—keeps people locked in, waiting for the next episode to drop.
Sadly, it won’t be tonight.
Why Is There No New Traitors: New Blood Episode Today (October 1, 2026)?
There will not be a new Traitors: New Blood episode airing on Oct. 1, 2026, on NBC.
The reality competition series premiered on NBC on Sept. 17 with a two-hour launch event, followed by two more episodes airing the following week.
There is no new episode scheduled for tonight, with episode 5 picking up again on Oct. 8!
And there’s a very direct reason why this week is a no-episode week—instead, NBC is airing the 2026 MLB Playoffs!
Traitors: New Blood Episode Schedule
Traitors: New Blood will air 12 episodes through November 19, including a two-hour season finale.
Below is a list of the full episode schedule:

The Traitors
Who Was Murdered on ‘The Traitors’ Season 2 Episode 3?

Following Peppermint’s heartbreaking and unjust banishment (and Johnny Bananas’ prior first murder), the competition series took its second victim.
The traitors planned the downfall of their enemies together, eliminating an influential and perceptive contestant who could have figured them all out.
And that person was Marcus Jordan, the son of Michael Jordan.
Of course, the impact for Larsa Pippen, Marcus’ girlfriend, was personal, as she was consoled by the group while mourning the loss and declaring that she was going to put forth all of her energy and focus to figure out who the traitors are and banish them.

During his murder, Marcus also figured that he was likely exed out of the game because he was too smart and could catch on, posing a threat to the traitors, while also acknowledging that they were jealous that he had his girlfriend there with him.
“They got me,” he exclaimed.
The traitors’ strategy was very much getting rid of those who could potentially figure them out and eliminate them from the game, which was the people’s person whose opinion the team valued and who had a lot of logic, sway and pull. He was the voice of reason, therefore, he had to be silenced forever.
However, they likely didn’t expect the wrath of Larsa; eliminating her other half stirred up a vengeance as she kicked her investigation into high gear in order to get payback.
Unfortunately, the game didn’t go her way when she attempted to banish Dan.
DWTS’ Maks Chmerkovskiy received the most votes at a tumultuous roundtable and was banished from the game, despite being an innocent faithful (he got too defensive in his defense), making it easier for the traitors to get one step closer to the final round and win the game. And those who suspected Dan threw themselves into the crosshairs as anyone inching too close to the truth gets themselves on the possible chopping block.

However, the next murder wouldn’t happen during a calculated plotting session at midnight—the task at hand was to get it done in plain sight via a poisoned chalice. Did Parvati manage to go undetected during her murderous attempt while everyone was on high alert? And who did she claim as her victim? We’ll have to wait till the Jan 18th episode to find out!

Who Was Murdered on ‘The Traitors’ Season 2 Episode 2?

When you’ve got a murder mystery at play, it only makes sense there’s going to be a murder.
*SPOILER WARNING AHEAD*
The Traitors Season 2 used its first episode to set the scene, introducing the 22 contestants and choosing the 2 traitors (see who the three chosen ones are for the season) amongst the group of faithfuls (before the treacherous duo voted a third into the mix), and then eventually, voted off the first person of the season.
Once the traitors claimed their first victim, the game truly started—and the surviving players learned of the tragedy the following day at breakfast.
So whose time on the game show was cut short?
The first victim of the season is actually shocking as it’s Johnny Bananas from The Challenge.

The traitors opted to stir up some confusion amongst the group—and there’s nothing more confusing than eliminating one of the strongest contenders in the pack, especially when it comes to winning missions.
It’s obvious if you eliminate the weakest link or someone who doesn’t grasp the game entirely, but Johnny Bananas lived in this element and, as one of the traitors pointed out, was perceptive enough to eventually figure out who the traitors were, putting their positions in danger. In short, he had to go.
“Johnny Bananas is going to shake the room,” the traitors said upon early elimination—and shake it he did. Even Johnny himself was shook, noting that the decision “stings.”
The group could not believe it, it also just proved that all bets were off in this deadly and deceitful game.
The traitors wanted to keep people on their toes, and by taking Johnny Bananas out of the equation, they did just that.
During the round table, a narrative spread like wildfire that Peppermint was a traitor after a casual conversation with Trishelle. In the end, Peppermint’s defense and her slip up where she referred to herself as a traitor wasn’t enough to keep her in the game and she was banished—and everyone was once again completely thrown off when she revealed that she was a faithful.
