TVD S.6 Spoilers from Julie Plec!

Published

The Vampire Diaries doesn’t have a set fall premiere date, but we’re leaning towards October 8, which means until than, we have to just go about our life just wondering if Damon and Bonnie will ever return from the dead. It’s going to be one miserable and tormenting summer!

Thankfully, we have spoilers to pull us through. Gosh, aren’t spoilers just theeee best!

Will Stefan lose it?

His humanity, not his virginity people. Mind out of the gutter! Stefan’s suffered a profound loss this season. So will the ripper Stefan come out to help mend his aching heart? ”He could go light, he could go dark, he could go pure, he could lose his mind and get on a motorcycle and drive to Miami. So what he ultimately ends up doing will be an interesting reflection on his state of mind at the moment — and very fun for Paul [Wesley] to play,” executive producer Julie Plec admitted.

Caroline and Stefan

Will he find comfort in the arms of Ms. Forbes? Gosh, I hope so! That last scene in s5 when she was comforting him after he just lot Damon was powerful. Plus, Lexi let Stefan know that Caroline was hot for him. Maybe he’ll finally realize that he likes her too and that its about time he allowed himself to be happy. Paul Wesley personally thinks that these two should bypass dating altogether and skip to the sex. “They just need to have sex. Just get right to it,” he told TVLine with a laugh. “We’d have sex in the Salvatore crypt. That’s the way to go man,” he added.

Nina Dobrev explained that Elena would have no choice but to accept that her best friend is dating her ex and get over it. “It’s going to be a little awkward, but let’s be real, who is Elena to judge? She dated a brother, then dated his brother, then went back and forth. She can’t say anything. She has no right,” she added. Truer words have never been spoken!

New female character/ Tyler

That’s right! There is a new character coming to Mystic Falls and it doesn’t seem like she’s going to be the new big-bad. Plec revealed that she will be able to live in Mystic Falls, which means she isn’t any sort of witch, werewolf, vampire, hybrid, travelers, etc. She’s a normal person. Which makes her dateable by one of the three humans still able to live in Mystic Falls; Jeremy, Matt or Tyler. I guess being a hunter doesn’t technically make Jeremy a magical creature. He can still function without his strong-hunter powers. Tyler on the other hand is now newly human as he somehow lost all of his hybrid abilities…. He’s going to be dealing with controlling his anger in order not to trigger the werewolf gene. He’s going to keep his temperaments reigned in so that he doesn’t have to go through the process again. A very painful process. I wonder how he’s going to deal when he finds out Caroline is dating Stefan and she’s not by his side to help him out. According to Plec, Caroline is at a stage where she genuinely cares about Tyler and Tyler has figured out he can be friends with her but still go live his life. For those two it’ll be about friendship.

The girl? Well she’ll probably be Matt’s new love interest. He deserves it! “Weirdly enough, in spite of the grief attached to the circumstance of what happened, Matt Donovan came out the other side in the strongest way. He’s in a town with no supernatural entities, he’s out of high school, he’s grown into a young man, and he begins to find his way as he steps out on a new career path that might lead him to being someone you’d like to have protecting you in the town of Mystic Falls,” Plec said. “He’s living a pretty decent life, so it’s sad that his friends can’t be there with him, but at least it’s peaceful.” Who would have thought that the only human– the weakest one would be the luckiest and most successful one. Maybe living eternally isn’t all its cracked up to be!

Alaric’s return

Alaric will be dealing with being a vampire. He never got to experience it fully because his body was invaded by Esther and became “evil”. This is a new experience for him so he’s going to be coming to terms with what he is and how to handle it. Unfortunately, without his best friend for now. As for the gross rumors that Alaric and Elena are going to hook up in S6. NO! Elena is said to find comfort in an old friend but hopefully not in that way. I mean, all of us would really lose it and Damon would be rolling around in vampire-heaven for sure. Hopefully, Alarics return is beneficial for both Jeremy and Elena in dealing with losing their loved ones. They lost Damon and Bonnie but they gained Ric. Its sort of a win-win.

“[Alaric returning] is a really beautiful circle back to that dynamic where he’s going to be there for her as a friend and as emotional support. But also now he has to come to terms with what it’s like to live life as a secret vampire. So [Elena] has something to teach him too,” Plec said.

The burning question– what happened to Damon and Bonnie?

Did they cross over? Did they find peace? Where did they go? “I think it means there’s a mystery attached to how the show ended. Did they die? Did they find peace? Are they still on the Other Side? Does the Other Side still exist? If not, where the hell are they? And will they ever come back? Certainly, we will see Ian [Somerhalder] and Kat [Graham] again, but where and in what context? That’s part of the mystery of Season 6,” Plec teased. So, she’s not saying their gone for good. *HUGE SIGH OF RELIEF* After all, we never saw them cross over completely. The episode ended with a white light so we all ASSUMED that they died, but maybe Grams actually did concoct a plan to save Bonnie before the whole thing goes to hell. And maybe they will eventually return!

Even Ian Somerhalder didn’t seem to upset about his death. All he said on Twitter was “I am so sorry,” but he’d be much more distraught if Damon was gone for good right?

“I think the most important thing I can say about season 6 is our characters fundamentally have to come to terms with the fact that Damon and Bonnie are gone forever, and have been doing so for quite some time when we return,” she said.

She added, “Some are in denial, some are still searching for answers. ‘They’ve got to be somewhere. Where are they? We’ve got to rescue them.’ Some have given up completely. Each individual character’s reaction to the loss of these two people will be what informs the beginning of the sixth season.” Okay. So even the characters are in denial! I’m really holding out for a SERIES finale that involves Elena and Damon getting married so don’t kill it for me Plec. Don’t kill my fantasy.

What are your thoughts? Are you excited for a season free of dopplegangers? Do you think Caroline and Stefan will get together? Will Damon and Bonnie live again? What will be the big bad this year? Are they seriously going to make us wait 6 months?

Is ‘Alaska Daily’ Renewed for a Second Season?

Published

Alaska Daily Recap Season 1 Episode 5 I Have No Idea What You're Talking About, Eileen

Alaska Daily is one of the best and most refreshing shows coming out of this fall/winter TV cycle, with Hilary Swank as Eileen Fitzgerald, a disgraced journalist who finds a new home in Alaska, bringing coverage to the often overlooked (purposefully ignored) stories of murderer indigenous women alongside her partner-in-crime, Roz Friendly played by Grace Dove.

With the season finale scheduled to air on ABC on Thursday, March 30, marking the season’s 11th episode, many fans are wondering if the network will renew the series for Season 2 and allow audiences to follow Eileen’s adventures of pursuing truth and justice on a local scale.

So far, there’s no word from ABC on whether or not a renewal is on the books, though a verdict is expected to come sometime after the Alaska Daily Season 1 finale airs.

But while the series has amassed a loyal and dedicated following—with many of you reaching out to me and noting that you wish the show received more publicity and promotion from the network itself—there might not be enough love for ABC to justify a renewal.

The series hasn’t been able to build up the audience or gain the momentum it needs in its short primetime run, which honestly, is a shame because of the important storytelling and refreshing and diverse cast propelling meaningful conversations and calling for change and action.

As Deadline reports, the series has “sizable internal support but has not been able to break through in a meaningful way, making a Season 2 renewal unlikely.”

Still, I remain hopeful that ABC will consider a renewal as ratings, though down a bit from the series premiere, bring in about 2.7 million viewers weekly, according to TVSeriesFinale.

When a decision about the fate of the series does eventually come down, we’ll update this article accordingly!

When Is Season 3 of ‘Ginny and Georgia’ Coming Out?

When Will Season 3 of Ginny and Georgia Premiere

Ginny and Georgia centers on the heartwarming yet extremely complicated bond between a mother and her daughter after they put down roots in a New England town.

With so many compelling storylines and incredible characters of all ages, it’s no wonder that the coming-of-age drama has become a fan favorite among Netflix audiences.

The second season of Ginny and Georgia premiered on Jan. 5, 2023, which means that a third season is likely far off, especially considering Brianne Howey, who plays Georgia, just announced her first pregnancy, which will possibly delay filming.

Of course, Netflix has to renew the series for a third season. As of March 28, 2023, it has not given the show a green light for additional episodes.

Fans shouldn’t be too worried, however, as a renewal is very likely considering the show’s performance, the rabid fan base, and the fact that season 3 ended on such a cliffhanger—Netflix knows that fans will be clamoring for another season to see how the situation resolves itself.

As for a premiere date, well, there isn’t one just yet. Until the series is renewed and production begins, it’s a bit too difficult to come up with a date for new episodes. The season could likely arrive in February 2024 if we’re looking at the previous premieres for both seasons 1 and 2, which both debuted at the start of 2021 and 2023, respectively.

But with Howey’s pregnancy thrown into the mix, that could delay things a bit, and it wouldn’t be the worst thing if the series returned during the summer when there’s a lull in content and fans are seeking out something to binge-watch and get invested in.

Either way, when Netflix makes an official decision, you’ll be the first to know as we’ll update this article accordingly!

Until then, you can gear up for the final season of The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, Riverdale, and Firefly Lane
