Victoria F Is Gaslighting Peter on ‘The Bachelor’ Season 24 and It Needs to Stop

Victoria F has quickly risen to the ranks of becoming this season’s most problematic contestant on The Bachelor.

She started off as the “shy, meek mouse,” briefly transformed into the “the realest chick in the house,” and then quickly spiraled into a gaslighter whenever Peter Weber (aka Pilot Pete) confronted her about anything.

The behavior she exhibited on multiple occasions, including the most recent hometowns episode, is characteristic of gaslighting.

For those unfamiliar with the term, it means to “manipulate a person by psychological means that causes them to question their own sanity.”

Victoria F has this impeccable knack to turn anything Peter says around and make it his fault.

In the most recent episode, when Peter brought up Merisa’s worries that Victoria has a colorful past of “breaking up relationships,” Victoria didn’t even let Peter finish his sentence before throwing a fit, assuring him that “she can’t,” and blaming him for ruining their night.

The mature, healthy reaction would have been to address the claims or rumors, tell her side of the story, and simply move on with the night allowing Peter to meet the family.

But this problem isn’t exclusive to this week’s episode. Anytime Peter raises any legitimate concern about their relationship or anything in general, Victoria F spins everything he says to make herself look like the victim; she’s unable to communicate, their connection is toxic, and yet, she was given the third rose while Kelsey was eliminated.

Peter attempted to call it out by informing her that anytime this happens, they get into a fight, she walks away, breaks down crying, and then apologizes to him for her actions.

And despite seeing it with his own eyes, Peter still felll for it.

As is often the case, Peter doesn’t seem to be unaware that he’s a victim of Victoria F’s tactics and continues to reward her behavior time and time again.

Understandably, it makes for some great television, but it’s also problematic to continue glorifying this type of behavior.

Twitter didn’t hesitate to call it out with one user pointing out that she’s never at fault and answers questions with questions.

This isn’t the first time gaslighting was an issue on The Bachelor and The Bachelorette either.

In 2019, Luke P was accused of bringing the manipulation tactics on heavily making her question what she thinks. Cosmpolitan put out a piece about the warnings signs of gaslighting which included lying about what he said, saying he’s the one getting manipulated, changing the context of what he said, and more.

In 2018, Refinery29 wrote a piece about Jordan Kimball gaslighting Jenna on Bachelor in Paradise to believe she didn’t even know why she was upset with him in the first place.

There are more instances as I’m sure #BachelorNation is aware of, but it begs the question: why don’t producers shut it down?

Actually, no, it begs the questions, why don’t we hold producers accountable? Why don’t we demand better?

There’s good television, and then there’s accepting a form of abuse that needs to be checked rather than glorified.

The Bachelor is bringing Fantasy Suites next Monday, and if nothing changes, at least you know Twitter will be keeping it real and calling the behavior out for what it is… and it isn’t love.

A Reddit user brought the issue of gaslighting up in a recent thread and offered this link to the crisis text line if you believe you are being emotionally abused How to tell if you are being emotionally manipulated Gaslighting: How it manipulates relationships how to spot and shut down gaslighting.

Grey’s Anatomy Review – What’s Wrong with Richard? (16×20)

Grey's Anatomy Review - Sing It Again (16x20)

Richard’s mysterious ailment remained the greatest puzzle of the hour, alongside a more humanizing storyline for Koracick.

Apparently, dementia and Alzheimer’s are ruled out for Richard, but what else could it be? The doctors having a ticking timeline and it doesn’t look like it’s going to be an easy case to solve.

All the surgeons except for neuro were put on Richard duty and had to do some hard thinking. It has been a while since they had to sit and map out an entire diagnosis.

And of course, the patriarch of the show was not going to make it easy.

The scariest moment was when Meredith found Richard about to cut into himself. Initially, the thought of him cutting into another unsuspecting patient was terrifying, but then when it revealed the reality of the situation my blood pressure soared.

Meredith came in like a superhero and saved the day, but I honestly didn’t know which way it was going to go. They better find a cure fast, or Catherine’s going to kill them all, well before Richard goes.

If you were on the fence between Team Koracick or Team Owen you might be no longer! I know this episode only strengthened by loyalty to Koracick.

Despite his rudeness and overall impertinence toward life in general, Koracick has suffered a loss very few understand. The loss of his son David devastated his entire life and gave him a grim outlook on the future. I’m not making excuses for his behavior, but the death of a child can certainly harden someone.

Since this event that rocked his world, Teddy seems to be the only thing that gives him true happiness, besides his large surgeon ego. When his ex-wife paid him a visit with her youngest son, Koracick was thrown for a major loop. Not only did Guthery closely resemble David, he even sounded like him. Koracick could barely handle seeing his ex-wife, let alone a look-alike of his late son.

If you didn’t feel every shade of sadness for Koracick this entire hour, do you even have a heart?!

I just want to side comment on the beauty of his relationship with his ex-wife. It didn’t seem like there was any bad blood between the two and rather than a loss of love being the reason they could no longer stay together, it seemed like the pain of losing their son was the biggest reason.

Anyway, Teddy stayed by his side the entire time and even squeezed his hand many times.  I don’t understand how she didn’t recognize that Koracick was the man she needs to be with.

Teddy was the only person who could calm him down during Guthery’s surgery and every moment she was standing by she had a genuine look of concern and love. I am convinced she deep down loves him, but Owen’s just the easier choice.

Owen and Teddy have gone through their own share of problems and hurdles, but Owen’s just made to much of a mess and Koracick’s the less complicated past, I’d argue.

Of course, Koracick carries a lot of baggage, but Owen carries the same amount if not more. There’s been nothing recently on Owen, he’s honestly just clueless to Teddy’s indecisiveness.

The final scene between Teddy and Koracick didn’t look promising to a happy future between the two. Instead, Teddy grabbed Owen after her emotionally taxing day and pulled him into a supply closet to sex him up and tell him she wanted to get married sooner. I’m confused by her thinking.

After a day like that with Koracick, how could anyone not feel compelled to choose him? Maybe she was looking for a happier outlet and Owen was the easier choice? I’m not sure, but Teddy needs to be 120% sure with her choice. By the looks of next week’s preview, Koracick is still fighting for Teddy even on her wedding day. Will he win? Comment your thoughts down below!

Additional Side Notes:

  • The case of the singing lady heavily reminded me of Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist. No way musicophelia is a real phenomenon! Because mind blown.
  • “How do you fix it?” “Singing lessons.” Honestly, the best line of the night. Koracick deflects pain with humor, at least it gave us a good laugh.
  • It looks like Amelia’s baby’s coming in fast! Are we ready? Maybe more than Link appeared to be!
  • Schmidt and Jo need each other right now and it’s perfect they moved in together. Starting another chain of coworking roommates, very Grey’s Anatomy.

Tiger King: Did Carole Baskin Kill Her Husband Don Lewis or Did Something Else Happen?

Did Carole Baskin Kill Her Husband Don Lewis?

If you’ve gotten to episode 4 of Netflix’s eccentric new docu-series,Tiger King, you know all about animal rights activist Carole Baskin and the claims that Joe Exotic latched onto that she killed her husband nearly 20 years ago.

The investigation went unsolved for 20 years as there was absolutely no trace of  Jack Donald “Don” Lewis.

Despite her enemies and Don’s family pointing fingers at Carole, who has also become one of the most meme-able people from the series, Carole maintained her innocence. She denied all the wacky claims that she fed him to the lions (don’t put it past her), put him through a meat grinder (seriously, Netflix has a thing with meat grinders! Please see: YOU), or that she threw him to the bottom of the septic tank.

Look, they’re all plausible guesses and Carole did have plenty of motive considering Don wanted to leave her, he was scared of her, and he wanted to expand the sanctuary to Costa Rica, which is something she didn’t want. She also wrote multiple diary entries indicating that she wanted to escape or find a way out of this marriage, so it’s likely she resorted to extreme measures.

Then, there’s the fact that she laughs every time she’s questioned, which could be a nervous tick to cover up her lies. The evidence was enough to convince everyone on the Internet that Carole is guilty of murder.

And clearly,  Hillsborough County Sheriff Chad Chronister has been watching the true-crime docu-series during this coronavirus-forced quarantine and believes someone might know something that could possibly make a break in this cold case.

Chronister announced that he was looking for new leads as he re-launches the 1997 investigation to see if maybe the police missed something.

However, upon watching this, there is a huge possibility that Don wanted to disappear and leave without a trace.

The day after he was never heard from again, police found his van at a private airport, but they said there were no flights recorded and his lawyer confirmed that none of the several planes Don could never make it to Costa Rica without stopping for gas at least four times.  But this could have been what Don wanted everyone to believe!

Think about it, how hard could it be for a millionaire to disappear?

No one knew how much Don was truly worth because they said he would “hide” his money and gold bars (GOLD BARS). Therefore, it’s plausible that he had money buried that no one knew about here or in Costa Rica where he wanted to live and allegedly had a girlfriend (or multiple).

Best and Funniest Tweets About Netflix’s True-Crime Documentary ‘Tiger King’

There were other hints that Don was planning to fake his own death and get out of town including his comment to one of his associates about “if he could pull this off” it would be the legendary and the fact that he made sure to get his will in order.

My theory, which is purely based off of me sitting on my couch and hoping to solve a longtime murder mystery, is that Don planned his escape to Costa Rica with all the money he hid, hoped his disappearance would raise questions and incriminate Carole, and leave his family with the rest of his money.

Of course, that didn’t happen because as the Netflix documentary pointed out, Carole and her father got to the will and changed it so that she got everything including the 69-acre wildlife Big Cat sanctuary they ran together.

We can only hope the recently revisited investigation can bring up new evidence and finally give Lewis’ family some peace of mind.

5 Possible Theories About Who Madison’s Doctor and His Daughter Sadie Could Be on ‘This Is Us’

Published

on

Who Are Dr. Mason and Sadie on This Is Us

Okay, so you watched the season 4 finale of This Is Us and found yourself thinking, “who is the doctor and his daughter, Sadie.”

Honestly, same.

The episode spent so much time and attention on the doctor’s backstory, before we even knew that he was Madison’s obstetrician, and introduced his daughter.

Related: Why Is Nicky By Rebecca’s Side on the ‘This Is Us’ Season 4 Finale? This Theory Might Explain It

Some may say that there’s nothing to it, it was just a way to introduce a character, but avid watchers of This Is Us know that’s absolutely false.

There has to be some bigger meaning and connection that simply hasn’t been revealed yet. Plus, they wouldn’t give us so much insight into Sadie being a horse-whisperer unless it was relevant.

Check them some of favorite theories about who Dr. Mason might be below and let us know if you have any ideas:

Theory #1: It’s Dr. Katowsky’s Son/Grandchild/ Relative

It cannot be a coincidence that Dr. K was heavily featured in this episode talking about his own loss of a child, right?

There’s a huge probability that Madison’s OB-GYN, Dr. Mason, is Dr. K’s son aka the child that he and his wife had after the first miscarriage. *a fan pointed out that child was a daughter, but Dr. K had other children. Someone pointed out that those children would be older and that he once mentioned having grandchildren, so it’s possible Dr. Mason is related in some way.

The doc seemed to have a knack for giving some really great advice just like Dr. K. He told Madison not to write off Kevin before she even talked to him and told him about the pregnancy, which led to Kevin being “all in” with the twins. There may be proof of this Dr. K and Mason are related because in the very first scene he tells Sadie that her horse is “is just a lemon.” And we know Dr. K loved his lemon metaphor.

Theory #2: Someone Like Dr. K

Considering Dr. Mason gave great advice just like Dr. K, many fans believe he’s going to be a huge part of Kevin and Madison’s pregnancy journey. He might be the one that they turn to for advice, guidance, and assurance just like Kevin’s parents did with Dr. K after he delivered Kevin and Kate. It would be a sweet way of bringing things full-circle. And hey, this still allows the Dr. Mason to be Dr. K’s son. Dr. Mason might be Kevin and Madison’s person.

Theory #3: Dr. Mason is Kyle

Okay, this theory is kind of wild and if This Is Us was a thriller drama/ telenovela rather than an inspirational, heartwarming family drama, we might consider it to be true, but sadly, we don’t think it is. That being said, we’re including it because it’s fun to imagine “what if.”

What if Dr. K was so desperate for a son that he stole one of Rebecca and Jack’s children instead. Imagine if Kyle never died but was taken and raised to be Dr. Mason, who reunites with his biological family, the Pearsons, years later by sheer coincidence when Madison walks into his office pregnant with Kevin’s twins. Again, if This Is Us was that kind of show, which it isn’t, this would be an incredible plot twist.

However, Dr. Mason seems older than Kevin, Randall, and Kate, plus, I wouldn’t want anything to tarnish the sweet, innocent Dr. K, who is a gem in this world.

Theory 4: Sadie Needed to Give the Doc Advice

Maybe Sadie and Dr. Mason were only necessary so she could give her dad that he then gave Madison about Kevin: “Little early to give up on him, don’t you think? You haven’t even give him a chance to be himself yet.” Sadie is a horse and Kevin whisperer.

Theory #5: He’s Madison Future Husband

Madison knows she’s not Kevin’s great love story, and she’s fine with it. Maybe through all of this, she falls in love with the doc and Sadie becomes her step-daughter. There’s no confirmation that Madison becomes Kevin’s wife simply because she’s carrying his children, so it’s entirely possible they both move on while being connected by their twins.

Showrunner Dave Fogel told Deadline that Dr. Mason will 100% become instrumental next season: “The doctor becomes an important character next season to Kevin – he’s having twins with a virtual stranger, not a normal birth experience. It’s no coincidence he was introduced in the same episode that Dr. K returned.”

That has to confirm Theory #1, right?
