When Is Season 2 of ‘The Burbs’ Coming Out? Premiere Date, Renewal News and Everything We Know

The Burbs Peacock Season 2

Published

on

The Burbs may be a relatively new series to you, but its roots go back to the ’80s.

The Peacock TV series starring Keke Palmer and Jack Whitehall is actually a series adaptation of a 1989 movie starring Tom Hanks of the same name.

The concept is pretty similair, with Palmer and Whitehall’s characters, Samira and Rob, moving to the “safest neighborhood in America,” only to uncover dark secrets and pasts about the house across the street.

Since the original movie was so beloved, the spinoff naturally got mixed reviews from critics and viewers alike, but since it ended on a cliffhanger, fans have been wondering whether the series will get a second season.

Here’s everything we know:

Will ‘The Burbs’ Get a Season 2?

Yes! The Burbs was officially renewed on April 14, 2025, with Palmer revealing the exciting news on her Instagram page.

“You guys!!!✨ We got a SEASON 2 of The Burbs!!! 🥹
Samira would say she saw this coming but me, I’m over here smiling from ear to ear, so grateful that you guys all watched and loved this show! This is because of YOU. The support, the memes, the theories, the texts…you showed up for us in the biggest way.  I am overjoyed  to be part of something that brings y’all joy, laughter and a little mystery! Thank you for riding with us and making The Burbs what it is. I can’t wait to bring you a season 2 that’s going to keep you guessing even more. I love y’all so much,” she captioned the post.

Whitehall chimed into the comments, writing, “It’s what big momma wanted.”

When Will The Burbs Season 2 Premiere?

That’s not as clear. The renewal happened recently, so there’s no word on when The Burbs Season 2 will premiere. With the green-light coming just yesterday, we’ll likely have to wait a bit before production is complete and the new episodes air. A 2027 premiere is more likely.

The Burbs 2026 Episodes

The comedy-drama series dropped its first season, a total of 8 episodes, in February 2026.

You can stream them new on Peacock.

What Is The Burbs on Peacock About?

The series has some absurd humor and suburban satire like the original, but it leans heavier into modern dark comedy with a mystery twist.

Per the synopsis, “Rob and Samira Fisher, a young couple and new parents, relocate to Rob’s childhood home on Ashfield Place, a quaint cul-de-sac in the idyllic suburb of Hinkley Hills. Their quiet life quickly unravels when a mysterious man moves into the house across the street — a creepy Victorian that has been abandoned for over twenty years. After observing suspicious behavior and learning about local lore, Samira starts suspecting that things are not quite what they seem. Home alone on maternity leave, she finds friendship with a ragtag group of quirky neighbors who join her in investigatory misadventures that bring them closer to the dark truths about their town. As she digs deeper, Samira begins to uncover long-buried secrets and deadly threats that shatter Hinkley Hills’ reputation as “The Safest Town in America.” What starts as amateur sleuthing quickly escalates and, as danger creeps closer to home, Samira must decide how far she’s willing to go to protect her family and her community.”

How Did The Burbs 2026 End?

Spoiler alert here for those who haven’t watched just yet.

Samira and Rob realized that the HOA has been responsible for the unsettling kidnappings and disappearances throughout the years in an attempt to keep Hinckley Hills the “Safest Town in America.”

Their realization that their neighbor and BFF Naveen is in danger after he goes on a date with one of the locals, who is part of the HOA, comes too late, as she drugs him and loads him up into the car (how did she move his unconscious body all by herself!?) mere moments before Samira and Rob bust through the door. Will they be able to save Naveen in time? They’ll have to rally the troops.

The Burbs 2026 Cast on Peacock

While Palmer and Whitehall lead the series, it’s made up of a quirky ensemble of neighbors, very much in the spirit of the original movie (and the kind we can all relate to), who all harbor their own twisted secrets.

Here’s who you see popping up the most throughout The Burbs Season 1:

  • Keke Palmer — Samira Fisher
  • Jack Whitehall — Rob Fisher
  • Kapil Talwalkar — Naveen Varma
  • Julia Duffy — Lynn
  • Paula Pell — Dana Richards
  • Mark Proksch — Tod Mann
  • Justin Kirk — Gary
  • Danielle Kennedy — Agnes (HOA president)
  • Randy Oglesby — Bill

Ted Lasso Season 4 Finale – How Did Ted’s Dad Die? Here’s What He Revealed About His Father in Season 2

Published

on

Ted Lasso How Did His Dad Die?

Ted Lasso’s Season 4 finale focused heavily on life, death and making the most of every minute—taking risks and living life to the fullest, largely inspired by the passing of Mae.

Some of the most emotional scenes, however, focused on Ted and his son, Henry, who took Mae’s death hard, as he’d developed a close bond with her during his time in England.

And Mae left her mark, even after death, as she gave pub regulars—Basil “Baz,” Jeremy and Paul–the Crown and Anchor following her death, while also relinquishing her 2% shares of AFC Richmond to Rebecca Welton so that whoever wanted to get control from her would, as she eloquently put it, “eat her arse.”

Her passing, however, also made Henry think about the death of his grandfather, Ted’s father, Jim Lasso, who died when he was around Ted’s age.

“Nana told me he fell down some steps and hit his head. Is that true?” he asked his father, who replied, “Um… well, yeah.”

Ted assured Henry that he was “good on the stairs,” hoping to ease his concerns, but the moment stuck with him, particularly since he lied to Henry about Jim’s death.

He asked Beard whether or not he made the right call, with Beard telling him that if it came from the right place, he probably did. But it wasn’t enough for Ted, as he knew Henry deserved the truth.

And he eventually mustered up the courage to share it with him.

Since audiences didn’t get to hear the father-son chat, the question of what happened to Ted’s dad became a hot search topic.

And it turns out, the series actually told us before, so it’s not a mystery, though it explains why Ted kept it close to his chest before finally working up the courage to share such a heavy reality with his teen son.

What Happened to Ted Lasso’s Dad?

Fans learned the truth about how Ted’s dad died back in Season 2, specifically, Episode 8. Ted confided the truth to the team’s therapist, Dr. Sharon Fieldstone, after seeing Jamie’s emotionally abusive father disrespect him in a locker room after a big match.

During that session, and after suffering a series of panic attacks leading up to it, Ted confides in her that his father died by suicide when he was around Henry’s age.

“My father killed himself when I was 16. That happened to me and, uh, to my mom,” he says in an emotional moment.

An episode later in the season, Episode 10, “No Weddings and a Funeral,” which features Rebecca Welton’s father’s funeral, marks a pivotal moment for Ted, as he reveals the resentment he feels toward his late father for what he did, admitting to Sharon that he didn’t attend his father’s funeral.

As for the reason, Ted felt that his father “quit.”

“You know, he quit on his family. He quit on himself. And I hated him for that. I think I still hate him for it.”

Ted told Sharon in more detail what happened to his father, stating, “Me and a bunch of high school buddies were gonna do a marathon of all them Jason movies that night. So I, you know, came home from school as usual and I went up to my room and — bang! I opened up the door and, there he was. [And I just] screamed. Choked. Cried. Ran upstairs, called 911. Went to the fridge, grabbed one of his Coors Lights. Drank that. Then I called my mom at work and let her know that she needed to come home.”

As Sharon apologized to Ted for what happened, he admitted that he still has love for him, adding that he was a “good man” and a “good dad.”

“I don’t think he knew that,” Ted acknowledged.

“Real chatterbox, believe it or not,” he expressed—a quality he seemingly inherited from him.

“I think if he would’ve known how good he was at stuff he didn’t really care about being good at, I don’t think he would’ve done what he did. And I wish I would have told him. I wish I would have told him more. I was just so angry at him cause he was always gone at work and out with friends or something, and then he was gone,” he confesses in the vulnerable moment.

The confession gives insight as to why Ted wrestled so fiercely with telling Henry the tough truth, knowing that simply being honest could have possible changed what happened. And he always wanted to talk with his father more, so he owed it to Henry to be the kind of dad he always wanted.

Viewers didn’t need to see the conversation between Ted and Henry to know he handled it with care.

For four seasons, we’ve seen him grapple and come to terms with his grief, which is part of the reason why he approaches people with genuine concern, love and understanding—no matter what they are going through—always meeting them right where they are when they’re ready.

The renewal news isn’t surprising, as Anna Pigeon became USA Network’s “highest-rated original scripted series premiere in nearly eight years” following its debut, drawing in an average of 2.35 million total viewers within seven days of the premiere.

“Across its total run, Anna Pigeon has reached 18 million total viewers,” the release detailed.

“Anna Pigeon has connected with audiences in a meaningful way, bringing a compelling new heroine and a fresh perspective to USA Network,” said Michael Sluchan, SVP, Scripted Content, Entertainment, VERSANT. “We’re thrilled to continue Anna’s journey with Tracy, Morwyn, Lea and our incredible partners at Cineflix.”

The series, which stars Spiridakos as the titular character, is based on the New York Times best-selling novels by Nevada Barr.

“It’s been really thrilling to see audiences fall in love with Anna and come to the park every week,” said Showrunner Morwyn Brebner.  “We’re so grateful to our cast and crew who brought Nevada Barr’s iconic world to life with such heart and passion; we cannot wait to get back outside for season two.”

When Will Anna Pigeon Season 2 Premiere?

Since a renewal was just revealed, the series hasn’t even gone into production yet, so it’s unclear when it will premiere. The first season premiered on Aug 7, 2026, so it’s possible it’ll be another mid-summer premiere.

Anna Pigeon Cast

It’s unclear whether or not the season 1 cast will all return for season 2.

For now, it stars Tracy Spiridakos, Paulina Alexis, Ronnie Rowe, Tricia Helfer, Kim Coates, Crystle Lightning, Cooper Levy, Manuel Rodriguez-Saenz, Ryan Northcott, Nikki Rae Hallow, Jordan Sledz and Melanie Scrofano.

What Happened on Anna Pigeon Season 1

While we don’t know how Anna Pigeon Season 1 will end, the first season saw her dealing with the loss of her husband and experiencing many near-death moments at the park, including at the hands of fellow park ranger Manny’s wife, Bethany, who is the daughter of the show’s villain, Jeremiah, who has it out for Anna and is polluting the local water with his real estate expansion. Fans have also watched Anna navigate a complex love life with bartender Jesse, who asked her to move in with him, and FBI agent Frederick, who has reopened the case into the mysterious death of Anna’s late husband, Zach.

Anna Pigeon: Where to Watch

Anna Pigeon airs Friday nights, exclusively on the USA Network. Following the season one finale, episodes will stream online on USANetwork.com and on Fandango.

‘Tracker’ Season 4 Premiere Opens With a Deeply Disturbing Case and Colter in Fighting Shape

Published

on

Tracker Season 4 Episode 1

Tracker has gone to some dark places before, but human smuggling may be the darkest storyline yet.

Kicking off Season 4 with Colter single-handedly taking on Russian organized crime is a bold move, immediately raising the stakes and signaling that the series isn’t holding back or messing around. And it’s pushing Colter into even more dangerous territory, forcing us to suspend disbelief a bit.

At this rate, he needs a full-blown tactical team at the ready, though, as always, Colter proves he’s more than capable on his own.

His near-perfect aim also remains intact… and we’ll let the show have that one so he can remain the hero we all need each week. The world is bleak, so we need a good guy to root for!

In the Season 4 premiere titled“Safe Harbor,” Colter takes on a case involving a missing father of two, with the man’s son, Charlie, who reaches out after finding his information on Reddit.

Charlie claims his brother is missing, but Colter quickly catches on to the truth—fearing DCFS would separate him and his sibling, Charlie lied to get help.

Colter agrees to take the case anyway, understandably, as he understands the hardships single parents face.

He also recognizes the emotional weight Charlie is carrying, as he knows what it’s like to have to step up after losing a parent to be there for your siblings.

Colter’s investigation leads him to a connection between Shawn and a woman named Stephanie, who works at the port.

Shawn recently purchased a gun to protect her, so it’s obvious they’re wrapped up in something dangerous.

Things escalate quickly when Randy tracks their last location to a crime scene with a male’s dead body. Thankfully, the victim isn’t Shawn but rather Stephanie’s ex, Brent.

Still, this is no romantic dispute gone wrong—it runs much deeper.

Using his charm, Colter secures surveillance footage from a nearby gas station, revealing that both Stephanie and Shawn were taken following the tussle at the house. A partial license plate gives him just enough to track the couple down before it’s too late.

Shawn gives Colter a brief breakdown of the situation—Stephanie’s ex worked for dangerous people and had been pressuring her to make a container disappear, something she refused to do.

It’s an all-hands-on-deck case, as

Reenie digs into the ex’s background and discovers he was tied to a federal investigation.

The people Brent was involved with? The Russians. And what were they trafficking in that container? People, not good.

Even in the face of that danger, Colter doesn’t hesitate, risking everything to save Stephanie—and everyone trapped inside the containers.

Thankfully, he succeeds, bringing Shawn home safely to his children, who had already lost too much.

Some of the most compelling Tracker moments come when Colter takes cases that aren’t about the paycheck, this being one of them.

He knew Charlie couldn’t afford it, but he saw himself in him, even praising him for showing good judgment and instinct, doing exactly what he would’ve done.

Charlie feels like a future Colter 2.0—and without that instinct, the case would have ended very differently, as Colter found Shawn and Stephanie just in time.

As far as season premieres go, this was a solid hour, smoothly dropping viewers right back into Colter’s world without missing a beat.

Colter remains a lone wolf, for now, while relying on his network for intel, though hopefully that won’t be the case all season—especially with hints that he may be getting a more permanent love interest.

Reenie is also eyeing a new office space, a subtle way of addressing the show’s shift to filming in California instead of British Columbia.

The premiere also sets up a new (or rather, old) connection for Reenie. Maxine reveals that Adam—someone who remembers her from their school days—is interested now that she’s single.

Reenie may not be smitten with Adam just yet, but fans of The Vampire Diaries surely are, as Adam is played by Michael Malarkey (TVD’s Enzo), who is described as “disarmingly handsome,” (again, we know), intelligent, and sophisticated—with just enough of a bad-boy edge. He works as a private investigator for high-end law firms.

Could this finally be the answer to Reenie’s love life? Let’s be honest—her track record hasn’t exactly been great.
