And that’s what we call a triple sweep!

Your favorite ER docs, firefighters, and detectives aren’t going anywhere anytime soon because NBC just gave the #OneChicago universe a massive pick-up.

All three series in Dick Wolf’s “Chicago” franchise will be returning for an additional three more seasons.

That brings Chicago Fire through season 11, Chicago PD through season 10, and Chicago Med through season 8.

According to Deadline, the renewals are part of a new deal between Wolf and Universal Studios.

“Dick Wolf has proven time and time again that he makes shows audiences love,” said Paul Telegdy, Chairman, NBC Entertainment. “We are delighted, excited and proud that as part of this epic deal with Wolf Entertainment, NBC’s loyal audience will know that their favorite shows have a certain future for the next three years.”

His other highly-rated and highly-performing drama, Law & Order SVU, also snagged three more seasons.

While nabbing three seasons at one time is surely a feat to be proud of, it isn’t unheard of at NBC, a network that loves to reward shows that simultaneously perform well live, in DVR viewing, and can also be syndicated. And if they have large, dedicated followings — which all 4 Wolf shows do — it only works in their favor.

The shows join the previously renewed medical drama New Amsterdam and the emotional family drama This Is Us, which was scored a three-season renewal.

Following the exciting news, the shows will have to renegotiate contracts with talent. Since three-years is a pretty massive chunk of time, it’s possible that not all of your favorites will stick around for the full-term.

Wolf has found success in both keeping his lead around for the entire duration of a series like Mariska Hargitay on Law & Order: SVU or swapping out the full cast entirely to offer a different perspective and reinvent the wheel. Either way,  it’s bound to be successful and lucrative.

Are you excited about the renewals?

Ian Somerhalder and Paul Welsey reveal bourbon name

During the WizardWorld-hosted virtual The Vampire Diaries reunion, the Salvatore brothers, Ian Somerhalder and Paul Wesley, who played Damon and Stefan Salvatore, respectively, revealed the name of their joint bourbon brand.

The brand is called “Brother’s Bond,” Ian revealed, adding that it pays tribute to the alcoholic drink that bonded their characters on The CW series from 2009 to 2017.

“Here it is. Our passion. Our baby,” Ian wrote on Instagram.

“Time, quality, and passion distilled for you and me,” he added adding that anyone over the age of 21 can go to brothersbondbourbon.com to sign up.

The duo announced that they were developing the liquor in September of 2019.  “Can you imagine if the Salvatore brothers had their OWN bourbon? Well, it’s coming! @paulwesley and I have been working our asses off with our incredible team to make this happen,” Ian wrote on Instagram at the time

During the Twitch stream on May 27, the actors revealed that they’ve been developing the taste from the ground up and ensuring it was smooth and sweet on the palate.

“Every single aspect of this we designed ourselves,” Somerhalder said during the virtual reunion, which also included Steven R. McQueen (Jeremy Gilbert), Zach Roerig (Matt Donovan), and Michael Trevino (Tyler Lockwood), among others.

“This is our baby,” Ian said from his Airstream. He explained that the bourbon is a culmination of their hard work and journey together.

If you were a fan of TVD, you know that bourbon bonded the brothers and defined their kinship. They may have disagreed on a lot, but they always agreed on bourbon.

It’s unclear when the brand will be available in stores, but we’ll update as soon as we find out!

Lori Loughlin fired from Fuller House

From the Full House to the big house, Lori Loughlin, who is most famously known for her role of Aunt Becky on the wholesome and cheeky family series that debuted in the 80s, has agreed to plead guilty to paying people off to get her daughter’s into college.

Loughlin and her husband, fashion designer Mossimo Giannulli, were accused of paying $50,000 to get their two daughters into the University of Southern California as fake crew team recruits.

According to CNN, Loughlin will plead guilty to the following crimes: conspiracy to commit wire and mail fraud.

Her agreements require her to serve two months in prison.

Her husband will plead guilty to conspiracy to commit wire and mail fraud and honest services wire and mail fraud. He’ll serve five months in prison.

Loughlin also faces a $150,000 fine, two years of supervised release and 100 hours of community service, according to the news source. He will get $250,000 fine, two years of supervised release and 250 hours of community service.

They are reportedly set to plead guilty on Friday, per prosecutors.

The scandal has, understandably, rocked Loughlin’s world and cost her some longtime acting gigs on her Hallmark Channel series, Where Calls the Heart, and the Full House spinoff, Fuller House. As it enters its fifth and final season, the Netflix will move forward without her character.

It’s a hard lesson to learn, but don’t try to bribe your children’s way into college.

While I’ve always loved Lori Loughlin in every production (mainly cause I thought of her as my own Aunt Becky), if you have the nerve to dish it, you have to know how to take it.

ABC Renews 19 Dramas 2020

Depending on which shows you love to watch, it’s either a really good day for you or a really bad day for you.

ABC renewed a whopping 19 TV shows!

Here’s what lives to see another day:

American HousewifeThe Bachelorblack-ishThe ConnersDancing with the StarsThe GoldbergsA Million Little Thingsmixed-ishThe RookieShark TankStumptown20/20 and Who Wants To Be A Millionaire.

They join previously renewed shows: America’s Funniest Home VideosAmerican IdolThe BacheloretteThe Good DoctorGrey’s Anatomy, and Station 19.

Sadly, a few cuts had to be made, which included: SchooledEmergenceSingle ParentsBless this Mess and the reboot of Kids Say the Darndest Things.

The fates of Baker and the Beauty and For Life remain up in the year likely because it’s too soon to tell.

ABC has also announced new shows it is investing in including Big Sky, a series about a private detective who searches for two sisters who were kidnapped by a truck driver on a remote highway in Montana and unearths that there have been more kidnappings of women.

A second show is called  Call Your Mother, a comedy that “follows an empty-nester mom who wonders how she ended up alone while her children live their best lives thousands of miles away. She decides her place is with her family and as she reinserts herself into their lives, her kids realize they might actually need her more than they thought.”

These will both join the reboot of the reality series Supermarket Sweep starring SNL alum Leslie Jones.

The network did not announce a fall lineup as production on all shows has been halted due to the coronavirus pandemic.

“At a time when we are physically apart and shared experiences matter more than ever, these shows will build on the strategy that has made us No. 1 this season – bringing people together, creating cultural moments, and making content that entertains and inspires across generations and demographics. Our top priority now is to work with our studio partners to ensure a safe return to production so that we can build on the strong momentum of a winning lineup with measured bets on new series that will invigorate our air and continue to deliver the quality programming that our viewers have come to expect and love,” said Karey Burke, president, ABC Entertainment. “

FOX and The CW have both released fall 2020 lineups that have bypassed most of their scripted dramas, which are all set to return in 2021.

CBS is the only network that released a schedule with most of its scripted dramas in-tact leading many to believe that they’re feeling confident that they’ll resume production in time.

Are you happy with ABC’s decisions? Do you wish other shows were renewed? Sound off in the comments, Cravers!
